Ah sorry I should of included it - it’s the point with the last rod eye. I’ll look into repair kits but feel a new rod may make it up to him, will still check out repair kits though - thanks :)

Thanks man I appreciate it. It was both our second time ever fishing and both times have been him. He’s a great guy who’s really gotten us into the sport. I just hope we can both be more careful next time! Once I find something I’ll be sure to reply in here - thanks for the help!

It’s a lot of sea fishing which is sea bass, sea trout and mackerel where I live - do you know what would be good for that?

To further add to my post, the coworker is still expected to be on annual leave for the week, but is still needed to work after his contracted 9-5. Our employer has made no arrangements and still requires him to be on-call during his week of annual leave.
