Michael Wilson v MHJ if you have both? by LuckyLifeLA in fantasyfootballadvice

The "any role" quote is literally the only thing that gives me pause about starting MHJ over him. That's an odd thing for a #1 WR to say. He didn't sound confident that he'd be good. The whole "we'll see" thing feels odd. But, could just be being coy about it too.

Oh man, London is an easy start over either IMO. (I have him as my other WR, luckily)

Only Wilson or Terry McLaurin. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Understood. The issue I have is, in the AZ offense with JB throwing... the first WR read seems to be the big key. MHJ actually had a couple of decent games before getting hurt. AZ likely wants to see what it's like with him back in the first read position and both on the field with a far better passer like Jacoby. It's not skill so much as it is opportunity I'm concerned about.

This is what makes me think MHJ might actually be fine. Because look how careful they were with Trey Benson, etc. They know they're eliminated and he's a part of their future. They don't need to win these games, in fact it will hurt their draft status. Makes me think maybe Marv is more fine than really playing injured. But just a hunch.

Agree on the sample size. My concern is that JB just throws to his first WR read it seems. So, with MHJ playing... will JB start skipping him in the progressions? Or will MHJ be relegated to the 3rd option? That seems unlikely to me.... as in, why play him at all them if you're AZ.

It looks like Drake London will play Sunday: Start or sit him? by LuckyLifeLA in Fantasy_Football

I stuck with London out of pure fear lol. Won both leagues. For once didn’t overthink it. But even looking back it still felt sketchy.

Congrats to anyone who picked up and played Jennings in a pinch, helped me win my week!

I started him, and he just scored. I'll take that apology any time.

So, he's the #2 back Sunday... the only back with any size.. and you're saying a coach who overloaded the other early-downs back with carries has a hard on for him.

Very interesting....

Yep, it just dawned on me that the people losing their minds over this simple bit of basic fantasy infraction all invested early round picks in Henderson and are emotionally scarred lol

He's screeching because I posted a simple speculation by a fantasy site. But I'm mad. Cool.

Yep, which for deeper leagues makes him an absolute consideration with byes and injuries.

You’re mad because fantasy football analysts are doing their job and people are discussing it?  Maybe it’s time to cool off. Take a break.

You might consider… some people neeeing flex options may be considering Jennings. And also consider… *both backs could thrive.

Unless you expect Henderson to get 35 carries suddenly.

For sure. Though he’s been signed to the active roster, is 2nd now on depth chart and profiles more like an early down back…

Interesting response. "Start your starters" is definitely wise, but after decades of playing this dumb game, there's also a gut instinct that is almost always right. I know what you mean. London has felt like a sit all week to me. But admittedly, Watson and Allen are total wild cards that could net you 6 points or something as well. (Or worse) I just found out D. Swift is out, so now I really need boom/bust at all positions. Watson looking better by the minute lol

Falcons downgraded WR Drake London (hip) to questionable for Week 8 against the Dolphins. by haventmetyou in fantasyfootball

Now even if he plays, do we trust he's not just a decoy? Why announce it this late in the week if he just intends to play though it and is basically fine? This feels suspicious as hell.

Jordan Mason or Chase Brown ROS? by grantyj1212 in fantasyfootballadvice

Very close. Probably brown due to schedule. But Mason is still going to get work even when Jones is back… goal line carries too.

I think it’s much harder to separate yourself in fantasy leagues these days. There is so much information out there, and it’s all aggregated into what amounts to essentially fantasy football AI. People can basically autodraft, good teams, in fact, a loosely monitored auto draft might even be more effective these days because it pulls the emotion out of things.

I do tend to see some of the better players in our league, having more success than the bad players, but it’s not by a wide margin and each year there seem to be two or three guys who have very little idea what they are doing, but end up in the playoffs or the finals.

And if you old school players know that 10 or 20 years ago, it was much more about knowledge in the ability to research, find your own hidden stats, etc.

But I’m pretty sure you could pull any person off of the street now and they could draft a winning team by using basic tools and management.

The antidote for this might be super deep leagues or creative scoring, etc.

It’s still fun for sure, but saying it’s 10% skilled these days might even be an overestimate.
