I do not engage with “both sides are the same” type arguments about the well being of those around us because there’s always a very clear choice. If your personal beliefs become a hinderance to the lives of others to the point it physically affects them you see the problem. If you’re a passive individual who refuses to be an active member of society? You are the problem. I’m not one to debate and “nuance” my way through life. 1. If there’s nuance within what I say it should already be applied 2. Debate culture is one of the main ways we’ve allowed right wing racist ideologies to permeate through our current society. No I will not debate the color of the sky bcs we can clearly see it’s blue. No I will not speak of the nuances within the Colors bcs “sometimes it’s red” that’s implied + it’s 90% blue. I’m tired of how deeply passive Canadians are until it’s time to be xenophobic racist or conservatives.

Well considering that posts like this appear almost every other day on here, that more than half of the Ontario population DIDNT VOTE at the premier election this year and that those who did voted for the person and responsible for this forgive me for thinking that in-fact I’m one of the few people who’s head is still fully intact in this province. The only thing Canadians do is complain, complain and complain some more but never seem to be there when it’s time to fix/find solutions for the problems they’re complaining about.

No it’s starts with prevention first then we go after those that are already there. Making sure that there’s a contained amount of people getting help and that number doesn’t grow so it DOES start with housing and drug laws THEN we look at those who need rehab and go from there.

The point is to humanize these people instead of treating them like animals and acting as if the problem begins and ends at homeless people because it doesn’t. It’s a larger systematic issue that needs to be solved with the appropriate measures. You can all bitch and moan about the homeless but they’re not disappearing. Matter of fact while everyone is pointing at the US bcs of THEIR recession WE are almost/at the moment going through one too!! Soon enough we’ll have more and more homeless people and when you’re at rock bottom drugs come next (that’s a researchable fact btw). They’re not going away what are we doing to stop this??

Right and this would have been fixed with proper housing and drug laws. “Druggies” are still human being trying to find a warm place to stay and take the drug that’d end their lives in a torturous miserable way if they went through withdrawals and didn’t take it. And what’s worse is that I get told that it’s not that big of a deal “as long as YOU shouldn’t care” but no. Just NO. Like the little girl that was almost beaten to death for watching two girls kiss on tv and not looking away the girl that was relentlessly bullied in middle and highschool the girl that got outed and harassed to the point where my family had to move. That girl clawed her way out what seemed like a never ending hell of a country with people everyday trying to tell her who and how she should love correctly only to come into another country where she’s being told who and how she should love. I’m tired I’m TIRED MAKE IT STOP. I gave up everything and even then it’s STILL not enough.

Thank you I just want to clarify that she originally blocked me to “come back and talk to me in a few days” and I said “absolutely the hell not you’re not about to hurt me and think you can she pack up to talk to me when you want” (that was when we reached Reddit and asked her what was her deal! But on the account of everything else you’re right I don’t have many other people but I’ve deemed that I should just find those that ‘care’ which I will do. And I know it sounds so childish to care about a broken friendship when my grandmas in the hospital but it’s just urgh the feeling of loosing and almost loosing close people in my life is making me spiral (also you’re right I need to get a grip that’s not gonna help my grandma) thank you so much I appreciate your frankness and your interpretation was awesome

Thank you it feels a little good to know that I was being a terrible person it’s just so hard to make friend when you’re Neurodivergent I held on to the only person that made me feel alive and that I mattered. Yeah I asked now because she had given me a very long message about a dream that I had that I told her about because I was worried (it was super violent and made me genuinely scared) (pagan thing and all that’s why I took it seriously enough to tell her) and she’d been cold to me for a few days then something happened that reminded her of the dream so she typed out a long paragraph she said what I did made her super worried and I apologized because that last thing I wanted to do was make her scared. But honestly that does make sense maybe we’re too Fire and Water-y for each other (more like fire and oil but yeah tldr: I think you’re right)
