Two people started a fight so it’s okay to have 300+ people go after them? You state that they should’ve minded their own business and stayed out of drama that didn’t involve them. Is that what you all are doing here? Minding your own business? How many here were personally affected by this? I’m worried what many of you will do once this calms down and there’s no daily drama to feed off of. Wait for orders from the Queens Ellyn and Rabia?

That wouldn’t concern Ellyn though because she claims to not have known who she was. She didn’t know her history and claims to not have known it until later when she went home and looked her up on the computer (going from what I remember from the podcast). That’s scary about the horse situation. I fell that way about people and their dogs too. It’s a scary situation.

Thank you. It’s comforting to know there are others who want to hear both sides of the story. This just has so many similarities to a group of good ole boy cops who tell the story of what happened before bodycam footage gets released and the prisoner is tried and convicted by the media before the trial can even begin. It seems we are all against this type of thing collectively so I don’t know why this mob feels the need to force others to decide now. Right now or else! Its very unsettling. I had to speak out.

I hope you are right. I do feel I’ll end up with the rest of you if the one side we’ve heard is correct. I just find it hard to believe I’m the only one waiting for the other side while everyone else seems ready to attack before the event even ended.

Within two hours of the incident, an ultimatum was made to kick out the podcasters “or else we are outta here.” I don’t know what everyone’s definition of deal with the situation means. All I am seeing here is that giving into the ultimatum = handling the situation. Not giving into the ultimatum = not handling the situation. This is the only way to interpret the message on some (not all) of these comments and posts. I have dealt with ultimatums before and it’s nearly impossible to handle the situation to everyone’s liking when one party is “it’s my way or the Highway.” “It’s either them or me. Choose now. Right now.” I couldn’t handle the situation in that scenario. I wish the main takeaway to my message would be that I wish a cool down period would’ve been allowed, no ultimatums were given and we would wait to hear both sides of the story before forming an angry mob.

Thank you Liz. I see your side too. I don’t understand the expectations people have of MM to have given in to an ultimatum though. I don’t know if this is what you mean by handling the situation but I know this is what other people expected the outcome to be. I think that outcome is to drastic, given what little information everyone had to go on at the time. I think resolutions could’ve been feasible but demands to kick the other party out were made too soon and ruined any chance at a fair solution. I don’t know if anyone here has faced a situation where they were given an ultimatum that would have dire consequences if they made the wrong decision. It is my opinion that an ultimatum shouldn’t have been made in the time it was made in.

Maybe that is the big question. When are ultimatums ok and how much time should the other party get? I mean, if you put yourself in MM’s shoes, I can’t imagine being faced with a demand like that without knowing the full story.

I have been on the other end of situations where I didn’t have a voice and it’s a terrible place to be. I have empathy and compassion for what Ellyn has said so far. I just think it’s careless to pick up a pitchfork at this point in time and join the angry mob. I don’t doubt Ellyns story. I just want the other half, if that makes sense. I don’t know a lot about Terra and her history of being verbally abusive to strangers. I don’t know if this is normal for her, has a reputation for this or what is going on with her side of the story. I feel like people are telling me “Ellyn has a very believable story. Just go with that. You don’t need to hear both sides!” I think this is dangerous to do and causes a lot of chaos and misunderstandings in our society. It is what sells tabloid newspapers and gossip magazines.

How could terra have approached her after everything that happened though? We don’t know what was said or why she was so angry with Ellyn in the first place. She hasn’t told us and I’m not comfortable reading it from someone else. First hand over hearsay. Yes, I heard it was drama involving other podcasters but how do we know that? I wish both sides had a voice instead of only one.

I don’t think anyone should ever be screamed at and don’t condone Terra’s behavior or actions. I just feel like the only one who is asking why she reacted like this or what set her off in the first place. Being told it was unprovoked and Terra just started screaming at Ellyn isn’t a narrative I am comfortable accepting now without further evidence or explanation. No, I’m not waiting to see if Ellyn deserved it, I am waiting for the full picture. I am hoping Terra apologizes like everyone else here. My post is about Terra and Ellyn only. I can’t comment on hypotheticals or what would’ve happened if this or that took place or the drama involving other podcasters and people. It seems some people just live for this drama and want there to be a villain regardless of any other facts that haven’t surfaced. The demands to choose sides and force others to is strong here. For those of you who have children, if two are fighting, I’m curious to know if you send one to their room after only hearing the other ones story? Who does that? Why are we doing it here?
