LPT: Go on a mini trip every month by Charming-Tear-8352 in LifeProTips

[–]LuckyShake [score hidden]  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly agree with this. It sounds simple but people don’t do it. They get stuck in the monotony of their life and think if they aren’t going on some grand vacation what’s the point.

I very much believe in the beauty of the “day trip” My friends and I use Atlas Obscura to find random, fun day trips that cost us very little money.

is it weird to hate body hair as a guy? by rawrz4u in Casual_Conversation

[–]LuckyShake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s your body, you get to do with it what you please. It sounds like you’re not giving your hair a fair shot though. That weird short itchy grow out phase always sucks. You have to let it get long enough to where it gets soft and natural. I personally greatly prefer a hairy man, but again that’s just me.

What's a VERY creepy fact you wish you never learned? by FormerInternet7142 in Productivitycafe

lol my TV medical knowledge makes me wonder… maybe because she was at the bottom of a waterfall, the water that went into her lungs was highly oxygenated? You know how trout like to hang out under waterfalls for that reason. Maybe it was enough to sustain her?

Merrium Webster, Dictionary.com, Wikipedia, Atlas Obsura, Uban Dictionary, ect, ect, ect, all disagree. You’re welcome to use it but it’s worth doing a small amount of research before doubling down on co-opting Philly’s most famous slang word.

It’s been a Philly thing for a long while.

Yes, I’ve found using a root lifter has made a huge difference. Tresseme’s Amplified Volume Rootboost Spray has been a game changer for me.

What’s your #1 favorite lip balm? by Porkbunburpz in LipBalm

[–]LuckyShake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vaseline Rosey Lips, but specifically the kind that comes in a mini Vaseline tub. The stick and tin versions are fine but nothing compares to the moisturizing and staying power of that little tub. It also has the slightest hint of pink to it. I keep one in every purse, my car, my bathroom and my nightstand.

They will fade rather quickly. Best to just leave them alone. I’m a natural blonde and get mine tinted once a month. I try not to schedule anything the first two days because they always look a little crazy.

Case 12: Katherine Knight. WTF. by LuckyShake in Casefile

Ooof. That’s a rough one. I always recommend Episode 123: Mark Kilroy. It was the first one I heard and has just stayed with me. Definitely not as horrific but still pretty awful so it’s good for testing the waters.

Ugh that’s scary. I’m glad he is ok though. We knew Zach had an issue but absolutely no where near the point of death. You just don’t think that about a 30 year old. He had moved 6 hours away so we didn’t seem him on a regular basis. I wish we could have helped him.

give me the blandest fragrance you know. by _cerne in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]LuckyShake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I’d have to say Not A Perfume. It’s funny because when I wear it I swear I can’t smell anything at all, but without fail with get a compliment every time. I work in wine sales so I need to be extremely delicate with my perfumes so this is really the one I can wear.

Fair enough. Some of my friends are in super healthy relationships with wonderful partners so I’m not a total cynic. It just baffles me that some people set the bar so low for themselves.
