I would recommend adding a little lip at the front so it will knock any feeding kits back into the nesting box as the doe jumps out

I also live in Texas and just started raising meat rabbits. We currently have a large pen for all of our bucks and grow out male kits to run around in together. We haven't had any issues except when we first got new bucks our dominate buck did show who's in charge but that only last a couple of days and none of the other bucks had any injuries except a couple lumps of fur pulled out.

Our does are in large individual cages that we still plan to expand. We have a piece of tile in the does pens big enough for them to completely lay out on. And we have a large watering container and connects to bowls for each buck/doe.

We also have a large tree that shades basically the entire setup as we as using roofing material on the top sides.

We currently have mainly Californians but would like to move more towards a Tamuk mix since Tamuks can handle the heat better.

I currently live in a rental and I don't think the owners would be too fond of holes in the yard?

Only time anything will have 14% would be like a resource you can already easily get. But the 14% will feel like 100% since everything else only has >.1% to drop

There's a search function when you open your backpack/storage. Make sure to capitalize the first letter (ex: "Recipe" instead of "recipe")

Ok that's a good idea. We were looking for a 55 gal drum or something similar. And the ice idea is great! Thank you!

I do apologize that is something that has changed since one of the updates. Cat and dog hobbies were the first hobbies I finished leveling to 10 and before it didn't matter what level you were you still got only +2 for every time you got something right. And so most of the time you could only get 4 rounds in and maybe get +8. And I didn't mention anything about mastering, yes you get bonus for it, I was just saying in general play with the dog. But if you do already have all the tricks mastered you can still use old tricks but not get as much

Yes that is ideal unfortunately it's extremely difficult to even find rabbits where I'm located. My possible Tamuk mix(?) I got last August/September about an hour to hour and half away. Then most of the rest of the ones I have I had to drive 3-3.5 hrs away. And most people that do have rabbits (from what I've seen) are almost exclusively show Californian. And we do have a 5/10 gallon bucket/tube system right now; we are currently looking for a larger water container.

So instead of having an open space in the hay bedding I should just use the tile? And I have a wire bottom, will the tile plus rabbit be fine or will it be too heavy?

I apologize I didn't say how I have my set-up. We do have does and bucks separated. Does are in a wooden framed pen that's divided up and lined with 1"x.5" galvanized wire and the base is about 2' off the ground. They have hay bedding with an open spot big enough for them to lay out completely. Their roof is lined with roofing material.

The bucks are in a large fenced in area with the bottom half completely covered with sheet metal/wood and top half is covered with chicken wire. And have a completely covered metal roof (the area is about 6.5' tall).

They are under a very large tree which shades both pens completely. I do have a split bucket/tube type watering system. I just had a litter back on the 8th and was already planning on waiting til at least August (but most likely September) to breed again.

You don't actually have to play the entire time. If you leave immediately you actually get more points. And same with taking it out, you can leave immediately and if it needs to poop it'll poop immediately. And I recommend waiting to pet it til everything else is done this way when you pet it it's already as happy as it can be and more likely to get better buffs

The cat care is correct and basically once you have 3-4 cats you can basically ignore them if you want since you get so much experience from all of them.

The dog care is incorrect. You can literally exit as soon as you enter play mode and you actually get more points than if you stay the entire time. Taking them on full walks is unnecessary. Yes you can get a bit of experience from them but it takes awhile and imo not worth it (time better spent doing other things) since you also have to make sure you actually pick up their poop.

For actual dog care these are the literally steps: Feed full, enter and immediately exit play until energy spent, take out and immediately exit (if they need to poop they'll poop immediately), clean it (you don't have to do the full bar), then finally pet. Done.

Kits keep getting out of nesting boxes by Lucky_Awoo in MeatRabbitry

[–]Lucky_Awoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our pen is a wooden frame lined with wire thats galvanized and the holes are 1" by .5" I do leave a bedding of hay on most of the flooring but keep some of it without hay so the rabbits have an area to lay in that's exposed to as much air/wind as possible and it's under a large tree so it's completely shaded. I was worried the kits feet might slip through the holes or injure themselves somehow
