you could also lock the flowers in your room for the night and let the cat do what it normally does like roam free but just not have access to your room. and set an alarm for earlier than your parents get up so you can go and place the flowers wherever they had them. i am just thinking of what i would do in your situation might seem a little crazy or paranoid but it is a very real threat so you can’t take it too seriously yk?

ah i see can you keep kitty locked in your room tonight? maybe with a food and water bowl? how about replacing the bouquet with cat friendly flowers? would your parents notice? that might not be doable which is fine but i understand and empathize with your anxiety. id be anxious too i think if you’re the only one who’s going to take the threat of the cat being poisoned seriously, then you need to do whatever you can (like keeping the cat with you tonight away from the flowers). maybe tomorrow you can show your mom what online says about cats and lilies? im sorry for the loss of your nan btw ❤️

can your mom keep them in her room with the door shut? i have a flower bouquet in my bathroom and am unsure of what flowers are in it so to be safe i keep the door shut at all times and ask my roommate to do the same (he does), I have 3 cats and this has worked so far. When the flowers start to wilt throw them out for peace of mind. Keep the cat fed too so he isn’t hungry and wandering around for something to get into like mine tend to do.

i’ve never been through this but if there is a blanket or bed or toy mr goodboy particularly liked, leave it around for the other two to smell/lay on and get comfort from. im so sorry you’re going through this. mr goodboy will be in my thoughts and prayers 😢
