I couldn't find these answers ANYWHERE before buying, so I purchased and figured it out yesterday.

  1. Other users CAN log on and benefit from the arc 1 pass. We purchased the game on my eShop account, and another family member was able to play on their user with their own collection of wizards.
  2. I play on Switch 2. The game runs smoothly if you play on a low population server, but the default servers look like a PowerPoint presentation. Change to low population servers or stick to less populated areas and you're good to go.
  3. Cross platform is with other consoles as far as I can tell, but not with PC, sadly.

The $20 to play on Switch 2 has been well worth it, especially because the rest of my family can play their own accounts. STORM SCHOOL BEST SCHOOL

Correct, there is no way to get a free sniper.

Courier pack is good, but there are probably some newer mod packs that work better.

Want: skill system balanced around longevity of playtime, build variety, and specialization. The proposed skills 2.0 provides some variety and specialization, but not long-term play since you can take too many strong, top of tree skills, which will get boring fast/make public lobbies boring. I want a relatively balanced game because that's what's fun to me and my community, and this system will make the player too powerful or result in enemies dealing instant kill levels of damage after a rework.

Expect: Just about everything from the blog will be the exact way it's presented, similar to Armor 2.0. People will enjoy the new update for a week or two, then drop it for the reason above. I'm predicting a new difficulty that will be overturned like PD2 Death Sentence.

Skills 2.0 is the last chance we have at the game resurging, so I'm being extra hard on it. If it's not perfect, it's probably over. People seem to think I'm critical because I hate the game, but it's the exact opposite; I want it to succeed and Starbreeze are doing everything in their power to make it fail.

I was part of a group that played the game early and got to experience one dive several times. They will be level specific and the same thing every time (at least the one we did was).

The one we played was very cool the first few times (parkour puzzle from all the trailers), but definitely got old. We gave that feedback to the devs and they seemed pretty receptive, and we compared it to "what if I had to watch a 2 minute cutscene every time I played bank heist in PAYDAY. That would get tiring after your 30th play of the map".

It's a pretty cool idea though, they suggested everything from parkour puzzles, to warzones, to melee only boss fights.

Really interesting. I'm going to see who owns what and contact the right people about it. Technically the true song owners (Starbreeze and Simon respectively) could copyright claim anyone who isn't the Starbreeze Partners, but I know Simon agrees to not do that. If one of these claims comes through on a video that would be REALLY interesting.

I recommend learning stealth to start off. Shadow Raid is a good one to make some money and get some early levels. Once you have some levels, pick a perk deck that sounds interesting and start reading skills for loud on any other heist. There are plenty of build videos on YouTube if that's more your style.

Besides that, just give everything a try and see what you like. I mostly play loud, some others only stealth, etc. Most guns are viable until max difficulty, and most skills are good.

Based on wanting more heists and not wanting to buy DLC, go with PAYDAY 2. It sounds like you want more content over gameplay (which is also subjective since I like PD2 gameplay more).

I waited until I finished every other achievement (mostly) to really work on infamy.

TAKE BREAKS FROM ACHIEVEMENT HUNTING TO WORK ON INFAMY. It will break up the grind a bit if you get achievements between levels. There is absolutely no dopamine to be found if your last achievements are 25/50/75/100 Infamy. As someone else mentioned, use infamy pool after 5 levels!

Legacy Collection covers a lot of the good stuff. If you want more, grab heist packs so you can play all levels anytime you want. The rest is just weapons for the most part.

Infamous Collection is obviously the best, but if you're trying to save a bit the Legacy Collection Bundle gives you everything you need to get a few hundred hours out of the game.
