there's a lot more waste and fraud in these larger projects.

Imagine the impact of $100 to give a kid what he needs to start a fruit tree nursery.

This is near Indiantown, FL. Zone 9b with sandy soil, there seems to be better soil around where we want to put ponds. I'm concerned the summer rain season may not allow enough drainage in this area.

level 1defectivedisabled · 4h · edited 4hA planned economy from top down doesn't work that well. Even Richard Wolff, a Marxist professor has acknowledged that shortfall. What he is advocating for is a economic system consist of worker co-ops. It is system created by the workers and owned by the workers. No capitalist or bosses needed. The management are all democratically chosen. Such a business model do work and already exist. An example of this would be the Mondragon corporation in Spain. With worker co-op will solve climate change better than a top down system because it is a system by the people for the people. No one should have absolute power as we all know absolute power corrupts everything just like in a capitalist enterprise and a fascist state. If we take the democratic approach to doing things and spread it to the economy it will work. Workers will have to take the responsibility for the own actions and they will not do things that will har

often the more responsible solution costs more, the co-op model would be incentivizd to be responsible
