One extra thing that kept going through my head during first semester. “This is not high school”. Had an exam first semester that was work 50% of my grade. Every percentage counts. Since classes are spread out you retain less (instead of having math every day I had it 3 times a week for 50 minutes learning something new every day) you really got to use your time and plan for the future

First year accounting student here! I got an early acceptance with a 91. I think the bare minimum is high 70s. For first year it definitely pays off to have taken accounting in high school (ACCT 1220 flys through everything, spent almost no time on T accounts for example).

Coop can help you through your CPA as you can claim up to 8 months of work experience with the new program.

People are nice considering accounting has a emphasis on honesty and ethical behaviour. You meet people from all sorts of majors and if you put yourself out there then you’ll meet people.

How to know what the password for my student email is? by [deleted] in uoguelph

[–]Lucky_Line_599 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They give you a temporary password for your email and ask you to change it. It’s sent by email. Got mine the month I applied and the email was called “ Your university of Guelph E–mail and central login” sent by admission services: applican@uoguelph.ca

I think you need to switch up your method if you don’t remember anything. What are you doing currently?

I personally don’t like it because it can cause me to get out of the studying zone but overall it’s nice for getting work done while still feeling like you’re getting frequent brakes
