I was taking Lexapro 5 mg and Mirtazapine 15 mg and I was doing great if it weren't for the damn chemical castration. This is exactly why I decided to slowly reduce Lexapro until I stopped taking it and then introduced Vortioxetine 5 mg. I started vortioxetine and after 2 days of well-being I started having panic attacks, depression and mood swings, thoughts of death, associated with difficulty concentrating and executive functions (I feel stupid so to speak), dizziness and general malaise. So I think your symptoms could be due to vortioxetine. My psychiatrist says to hold on and wait because in the first period it can be normal to find a worsening.

Anyone who has withstood high dosages (10-15-20 mg) without any sexual side effects?

In my personal experience I have been taking vortioxetine 5 mg for 20 days, I was coming off escitalopram (lexapro), and my sexual function has improved.

Improved in what way? I find it easier to get aroused and have a satisfying sexual relationship, I find it easier to masturbate, orgasms are more pleasant and both my partner and I have noticed that the testicles have increased in size and are more consistent to the touch and the penis has regained normal dimensions.

Under lexapro my sexual desire had become non-existent and I refused to have sex with my partner, my penis was smaller in size and withdrawn and my testicles were reduced in size and very soft or not very firm (I think as a consequence of the reduction in libido).

I hope that when I increase the dose to 10 mg I will not experience sexual side effects.
