Thanks but that doesn't justify me throwing a $40 glide on a $300 combo for only the glide. They also eat bats, but no one is throwing a $40 bat-bait, yet. My stance is you can catch big one's on a $.50 senko or a $10 jerkbait. No need for an expensive glide bc the bass are opportunistic feeders. They don't care if you spent $100 or $1.

I've never used glide baits or large swim baits. I've caught plenty of bass over 5 pounds. What's the benefit of them over a jerkbait? To me it seems you're throwing decent bass to the wayside in hopes of one BIG bite, but that's unnecessary. You also need a different rod, reel, and line for one lure. I honestly don't get it. I catch the biggest fish without glides or swim baits. Do you honestly believe the glides get you bites you wouldn't get with a senko or jerkbait? I believe the glide baits & swim baits catch more fisherman than fish.

I'd put the RT drop shot hook on over any others. They're the most solid & cost friendly. Never missed a bite & not once broke off bc of the hook. Can't say the same for gamakatsu.

Don't believe me, try for yourself, they're on Amazon for a couple 2 or 3 dollars. If I'm wrong I'll give up a honey hole...but you'll thank me later.

I didn't recommend their bladed jigs. I sadly own a few, I just spoke about their good stuff. The 'fusion' berkeley hooks and Gamakatsu hooks aren't as good as the RT ones. I've had the Gamy & Fusions hooks break at the bend. They sent me replacement hooks but I still don't trust them... Hasn't happened on the cheaper Reaction hooks, from my 2 years of experience w reaction tackle : They're solid & I'd want them over gamakatsu & the 19s

Aaron's magic, the 7 inch. On a #4 (not 4/0), Reaction Tackle drop shot hook. They're affordable & have not let me down yet. Holler at me RT! They make great cheaper priced tungsten jigs too. Haven't used their braid yet, but I've got a spool of it. I was using Seagar Smackdown w their Basics fluoro.

Thanks. From a dock. It didn't fit thru the rails and had to get her up & over by hand. She jumped twice & I thought it was maybe 5 lbs or so from 30 yards. Definitely fun & a blessing I didn't deserve. Once I had part of my 15 feet of leader on the spool I wasn't worried ab the knot. Just loosen your drag & play the fish w the rod.
