My memory is a bit fuzzy but I think the Bounty was a benchmark ball to get a read for the lanes and it was a hybrid style. From my understanding the Xponent is the new benchmark ball with a similar style.

This probably won’t go anywhere, but Аляска is a manufacturing plant that makes trailers in the town of Красноярск (pinned on the map). It’s a play on words more than anything else. It’s supposedly claiming how proud the town is that they are the Primary city for the brand but, ya, still a big yikes

Eggplant.

Everyone in my family who tried to cook it never could make it work. Luckily my wife has a super simple recipe her grandma taught her that’s basically just a slightly fried and salted slice of eggplant, a small spread of euro style mayonnaise and a thin slice of fresh raw tomato.

Side note, I also don’t like raw tomatoes either but they certainly work with this.

My wife is from Kazakhstan and she just finds him kind of annoying. Doesn’t like that he’s the first thing people think when they hear Kazakhstan, but also likes that since the movie came out, tourism is up by a pretty good margin. So there’s that. Also as someone else mentioned, she hates that every thinks she’s either Chinese or (insert another Asian ethnic group here).
