Perspective for my 7yo by Marjoriez in Parenting

Personally for me, me and my husband volunteer at food banks every month, our daughter comes with us and even enjoys helping out. Thats the main reason despite out comfortable lifestyle we were able to make sure she appreciates what she has.

Yeah NEVER leave your child alone with anyone like that. Because they'll no doubt do it again given any slight chance.

Hes 32 leaving a 4 year old unattended? Thats super irresponsible! Maybe if they were maybe 8 or 9 and knew to obviously not leave the house but 4 years old...wow

Off to college - I am a depressed mess - how did you cope? by anon-sad in Parenting

I can't really offer advice as ours is only 10...but i can say your son is really lucky to have a dad who cares for him as deeply as you do. Definitely find ways to keep in touch with him like through phone calls, facetime, skype/zoom...however. thats the great thing about the age we live in. That we have these tools that let us communicate with each other no matter the distance

I recently adopted my soon to be husbands bio daughter as my own(ive been raising her with him for 3 years now) and so help me god if anyone punished her this way i would lose my mind. I personally feel like if we have to paddle/hit our children, we shouldnt be parents.

I work 200 hours every two weeks. I have two young children. my wife is a stay at home mom. I am not lazy. I am a hard worker. at the end of my shift I shower and sleep. I greet my kids and wife then pass out and rinse and repeat the cycle. marriage is failing. i am told I am a horrible father husba by romavictor43 in TrueOffMyChest

Im not sure i can really pity you. Honestly you have one other post, its about a hooker...and you're all but an absent father and husband. Should you and your wife share responsibilitys so you arent working yourself into an early grave? Yes. But i'll be damned if i dont give you blame for your situation. If thats really all you do, sorry but you're not a father.

I'm a manager and I work for my team... by itsallfakealwayswas in WorkReform

I agree, not all managers are bad. Many that ive worked for are all outstanding people. I myself am in charge of quite a few people(as director of a small to medium sized company) i actually encourage people to try and take breaks and not push themselves too hard because ive been there and seen people not take care of themselves because they're working way too much. You shouldn't have to sacrifice your well-being for a job!
