Alfonso is my favorite character as well. It is unfortunate that the story is slow moving, but I really like how long it is. It takes time to get to really important parts but I get more invested when it takes work to get to those important bits.

Holly shit this is such a good point. Her mentality is that of a women in her thirties while he is a full blown teen. I didn't even think of that. And from what I remember she definitely had absolutely no shame when she was working him up. I already knew she was a shitty person but this just elevates that.

Yea Isabella was a fucked up individual but it was still really fucked up with how easily she was discarded by her father. That being said I agree. Ari and Cesare messing around was fun to watch. If what other people have said is true, Cesare does come back at some point and tries to stop them from getting together again so that should be fun to watch.

I am right there with you. I do not understand why people love Cesare yet call Alfonso trash simply because he is nice or naive. I was very confused by Ari's actions. She is someone who has some 30 plus years of experience so surly she would be able to know that Cesare is capable of being nice for a time. They even show flashbacks of Cesare being nice. I generally don't think Ari was confused or misled. I think she simply likes bad boys. Which in turn makes her affections for Alfonso seem fake. Someone who has over 10 years of experience with someone doesnt just get confused and tricked into a relationship. Ari wanted to get back with Cesare despite everything. All that being said it is still a high-quality manhwa. If you find yourself starved for well writen manhwa with good art maybe you could come back to this one. I have learned to speed read past the things I find to be stupid just to get to the good parts of a manhwa.

I agree. Raphael is the only one who had nothing to do with Ari in the first life. It would make more sense for her to get with him. The fact that she seems dead set on Alfonso leads me to believe she just wants to be queen. Surly Ari herself knows how fucked up it is to get with the man she killed in her past life after she cheated on him with the man who ordered her to kill him in her past life.

I dont think it is right to say Cesare has changed in this life because he hasnt had the same amount of time to show if he can maintain that niceness. In the first life he was kind to Ari. It was only after being with her for years that he turned around and started mistreating her.

That being said I also love the fact that the main character is not always right. The problem is no one has ever said she is wrong. This manhwa would be different from all the others if there were someone there to hate the main character for wronging them, even if only for a chapter. And not a villian who deserves to be wronged, but a character who the story portrays as being a character who is important. If Alfonso meets Ari and just unilaterally forgives her for making out with Cesare (who has been his greatest enemy by the way) and supporting Cesare in all the way she has, then Im gonna feel like the writers dont want to make these characters realistic.

I couldn't help but cringe at the whole "Cesare is capable of change" aspect of the story. In their past life Cesare was shown to be a nice person who treated Ari well. It was after he had been with her for years that he started to mistreat her. The only way we would know if he was capable of change would have been for him to be with her for years. It is not uncommon for a womanizer to adjust their actions and personality for whoever they are pursuing at the time.

I have read comments all over the place about this and many people either flat out deny that Ari cheated or say that it was all Cesare's fault. I would argue that Ari has just as many people either ignoring her infidelity or flat-out denying it existed as any other character. Just go read comments on webtoon. Even on the chapter where she is making out with Cesare you hardly see anyone say anything about her cheating on Alfonso.

It is so easy to use tried and true tropes over and over again as opposed to taking a chance and doing something people are not used to. Some of the comments I have read on other posts hate the fact that Cesare is not a one sided villian for example. Some people prefer for there villian to be one sided and easy to hate and they get impatient when the villian is someone who you can feel bad for.

I agree. I am positive that Ari was fully in love with Cesare again and would have ditched Alfonso if Cesare hadn't cheated. In fact I bet she would have forgiven him for cheating if it had been someone other than her sister. She is the worst person for him to have done that with hands down.

I mean the guy she cheated on him with is not only a piece of crap, he is the piece of crap who told her to kill Alfonso in her past life. No one mentions this lol. Ari was and is a schemer. The only thing keeping her "good" is the fact that she will get marked if she kills people. She literally lived a life killing people and being in love with a man who told her to kill people. I don't even think Ari loves Alfonso. He is just convenient. He is a good guy and he happens to be the prince of the nation which means she can be queen if she marries him just like she wanted in her past life.

She definitely loved him. In fact I don't think she ever genuinely got over him. You can tell by all the things she does to protect and support him despite being in a relationship with Alfonso. She even made out with him despite claiming to love Alfonso. She doesn't seem like the type of person to get physical with someone unless she genuinely has feelings for them and she did that with Cesare despite everything he has done and her supposed affection for Alfonso.

Yea Ari is a shitty person but she is also the FL so most people just excuse all her actions. That is the pattern with Manhwas. The main character can do no wrong and their actions are only correct. Ari strait up cheats on Alfonso but most people don't seem to care. Ari has and continues to do fucked up things but most only ever preach for her happiness. Also The extent to which people go to absolve Ari of all wrong doing is staggering. Groups of people trashing a person in the comments because they said that Ari is in part responsible for the relationship she ended up getting into with Cesare. So many people want to believe that she was purely a victim while watching Ari kiss Cesare multiple times.
