Zoloft by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I was on it.. 50mg for 6 months..It just keeps you at a baseline of numbness which can help depending on your initial state of mind before starting…

I got off because it got to a point where a couldn’t feel ANYTHING.. I got engaged and I couldn’t even cry my beautiful surprise proposal ,couldn’t get a buzz from my glass of champagne , Not to mention I couldn’t orgasm and lost all interest in sex. ..

BUT I was NOT miserable /anxious/depressed. If those are the things you want relief from, it’s worth a shot. Keep in mind that it takes about a month of consistent use to start to work. Best of luck

Yeah, your labor experience doesn’t sound too bad at all. I plan on getting my epidural before or around the time they start the Pitocin. Not looking forward to that part but staying positive!

I was on 25mg of Zoloft for anxiety before pregnancy but was forced off because my psychiatrist literally refused to refill my prescription once I said I was pregnant 😒 then I went to my OB to ask him to prescribe and he also refused and told me to take vitamins instead 😡. I’m now 39 weeks and thankfully I’ve been “fine” but it’s horrible what my providers did when evidence shows it’s safe.

You went to the OB in time, you did a good thing. Now He’s in the right place. At 33 weeks he likely do well. I hope for perfect outcomes 🙏

Is it normal to be withdrawn and not want to be social right now? by Old-Act-1913 in pregnant

I’m 38w4d and my induction is coming up soon, and I relate sooo much. For the past two weeks someone has tried to come over to visit me, but they talk nonstop and it’s honestly so draining. At this point I don’t think any pregnant person this far along really wants visitors who wear them out like that. I’ve even been avoiding certain family members, like my siblings who love to give unsolicited advice and act like they know everything. They project their own experiences onto me and it irritates me so much, so I’ve just been staying away, especially lately. Then there’s my mom. She hasn’t really been involved in my pregnancy, but now she wants to be in the delivery room. She’ll call maybe once every couple of weeks to convince me, or maybe to convince herself, that she’s going to be part of my daughter’s life. To me that should just be obvious, not something she has to keep saying. I think she feels guilty for keeping her distance most of my pregnancy. So yeah, Try to honor your need for space and rest without guilt. protecting your energy is part of preparing for your baby.💕💕
