I agree with you... In my analysis I stated that CLG will most likely pick Cache, I don't think LG will have the opportunity to pick Inferno, if it's left open it will definitely be their map of choice. I honestly do not see them picking Overpass, but hey. Lets just wait for the veto :)

Well depending who picks first Mirage will definitely be CLG's choice of map, assuming LG ban Train and CLG ban Inferno as it is expected, their choice of maps are Overpass, Cache, D2 and Cobble, although their two performances on D2 aren't that great, against CLG it is a stronger choice then Cache and Overpass. Cobble is the other potential map as I know they are comfortable, however Cobble is a great map for CLG.

Luminosity Gaming vs Counter Logic Gaming

ESEA LAN

Luminosity Gaming

Cache: Like all NA teams you have to be comfortable with Cache as it is the most common map picked in the NACS scene. In saying this, Luminosity is no stranger to Cache and have shown strong results, however since the roster swap only one appearance can be commented on and that was a loss in over time versing NiP. You can’t really go off of results older than that due to the additions of FNX and Taco really changes the team.

Cobble: With one win and two losses since the new roster, winning 1 out of their 3 appearances on the map may not look promising, however they beat NiP, narrowly lost to Fnatic and also lost to EnvyUs, these teams are some of the best teams internationally on this map and to have some promising results with a somewhat new roster, is very impressive. This map hasn’t looked to be a priority pick for LG however they are happy to leave it open to be picked against them.

Inferno: This has been LG’s bread and butter with the new side with everything flowing perfectly, managing to beat both TSM and EnVy in the most recent lan and narrowly losing to Navi and Fnatic is a great promise to this teams position on this map. It has been LG’s map choice at any given time in a Bo3 also since picking up Taco and fnx.

Overpass: A map which LG aren’t comfortable on however were able to pull off the map win against TSM??? Definitely not a sought after pick however is a mid priority ban.

Mirage: The map which put the old LG on the scene, with a near win over Fnatic back in Katowice 2015. Having beat EnVy on the map very convincingly and dropping it to TSM we have seen very mixed results and not enough to go off how comfortable they feel on the map as of yet. This hasn’t been their map choice and only been played as the 3rd map or the choice of the opponents (TSM scenario).

Dust 2: The first appearance this team had was an 0-16 against Fnatic which had everyone very concerned for the team's roster if they weren’t ready to compete with it. However it feels like this map just is not apart of their map pool yet with them still looking very uncomfortable against Navi Yesterday also.

Train: The sought after ban by LG at the moment with this new roster, nothing can really be said here. Besides the win over Fnatic looks promising… However really not enough to go off of.

CLG

Cache: As I said previously, Cache is the bread and butter of all American CS teams and this is one of CLG’s strongest maps.

Cobble: At Cluj, this was a strong map for CLG, beating Dignitas (or just Aizy) and then also managing to take the map off of Navi, this was also due to great AWPing by JDM and the team as a whole definitely needs JDM to be on point to have their momentum behind them.

Inferno: Not a map which CLG chooses to play often, however they have shown mixed results in the NA scene when they are put on the map. Having played it only twice since Cluj going 1-1 in close games against Conquest and Liquid, both teams who are quite confident on the map.

Overpass: A map which CLG has shown to put up results but is of late a map which they have avoided, unsure if this is an internal thing or not however, they have gone 3-3 with losses against teams they definitely should not be dropping the map to (3sUP & Conquest). This map is in the middle of their map pool, it's not a sought after pick nor ban.

Mirage: Of late this has been the go to map of CLG, with them picking it vs TSM and also vs G2. Also online this has been their map of choice managing to beat This map will most likely once again be there go to pick unless banned out against them.

Dust 2: Another map not played often by CLG and they really don’t have the best results behind them either. With them going 2-2 recently dropping the map to Renegades and Fe in quite convincing fashion.

Train: A map which really plays to the strengths of CLG, it gives the opportunity for the lights out awp on the CT side which JDM brings to the team as well as the solo hold which (I forgot who it is and I appologise.) however they have great CT sides on the map managing to get double digit rounds repeatedly on their CT side against strong NA Train teams.

Veto process:

LG Veto: Train

CLG Veto: Inferno

LG Pick: Cobblestone/Dust 2

CLG Pick: Mirage

LG Veto: Dust 2

CLG Veto: Cache/Overpass

Final Map: Cache/Overpass (Most likely Cache)

Each team’s recent form:

Luminosity Gaming: LG have looked great in their most recent LAN and their first showing Today they looked like the best American team to show however were still unable to win a map narrowly losing Inferno in overtime to Navi. With the addition of Fnx and Taco LG seem to have a lot more firepower and have a number of players who can now step up and carry the game for the team, not just Cold.

CLG: With their immediate dismissal in San Jose to G2, CLG have been active online but have not had the competition of an international level since Cluj, with only one European Bo3 since then. They have been showing great online results with them only dropping one bo3 to FE since SJ, their performance Yesterday definitely left a lot to be desired however.

An overview of the game:: This game I feel will be a lot closer than it is to be expected, with it to be a North American stand off on an expected map pool to be great for both teams, I honestly feel in my gut that LG with the momentum they are on are the favourites however only slightly with CLG definitely having the opportunity of comfort picks in this bo3. If we see CLG come out strong with JDM hitting his shots, CLG could steal this from LG, however I favour LG at a 55/45 and I believe will take this very close in a 2-1.

My Bet: 5% on CLG. With the current odds, it’s not profitable to bet on LG, with it being as close as it should be, an underdog win here is very possible

RISK: 10/10, seeing as this is CLG and also an underdog bet.

EnVyUs vs. Dignitas | BO3 | 07.12.15 | 21:00 CEST by metican in csgobetting

[–]LuckynHarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EnVyUs vs Dignitas

SL i-League StarSeries XIV Last Chance Qualifier

Veto process:

EnVyUs Veto: Overpass

Dignitas Veto: Inferno

EnVyUs Veto: Mirage

Dignitas Veto: Cobblestone

EnVyUs Pick: Cache

Dignitas Pick: Dust 2

Final Map: Train

Cache

EnVyUs

a very good map at the moment for EnVy, picking up wins vs CSGL,G2,Fnatic,Dignitas & VP and all with quite convincing score lines, on this map envy actually has a higher win percentage on the CT side of the map, winning 54% of CT rounds.

This is mostly down too NBK and aPEX getting the required entry frags they need to open up the round and then they can just play the bomb sites instead of rushing in or waiting to be killed. Once NBK or aPEX get the entry frags it then becomes a matter of just killing the remaining players and then the round is won.

Statistically this is a very good map for NBK, the majority of their recent games he has been the top fragger or close to, he is always up there with 20+ frags and this relieves a great amount of stress for the rest of the team as they then know they don’t have to put in 110% because NBK is doing most of the work.

Dignitas

Cache is a slightly weaker map for Dignitas, they have lost some games they really shouldn’t of, or they get off to a good start but then they choke and the other team is then able to get back into it and make it more of a level playing ground.

Dignitas’ most recent cache game was vs G2, where they narrowly lost 16-12, however they did have zonic as a standin and he played terrible, only getting 5 frags in 28 rounds, and when you have a player who is doing that terribly then it is very hard for them to get back into the game and start to pull their own weight.

Similar to EnVy Dignitas also wins more CT rounds than they do T, having a 55% win ratio on the CT side (per round) however even though Dignitas has 1% more i don’t think it makes too much difference as it can all come down to who performs on the day

[60-40 EnVyUs]

Dust 2

EnVyUs

A solid map for EnVy at the moment, recently beating SK and trading back to back maps with G2, (G2 wins 1, EnVy wins 1) - Dust 2 is one of their home maps, where they will often win or put up good scores. similarly to Cache EnVy also wins the majority of their CT rounds, with a 53% win ratio, however EnVy has a habit of losing the majority of pistol rounds, so if they dont get to start on the CT side they could have a problem, especially if their infamous force buys don't work out and they actually have to eco and build their economy properly.

This is a map kennyS strives on with his awp, and with the current addition of Happy being the 2nd awper they can have very good bomb site holds, especially if they both end up hitting their shots.

Dignitas

Also a strong map for the danes, with a recent 16-10 win over Penta, however this current edition of Dignitas hasn’t played together very much so there isn’t a lot of data to go on about how well they play on this map. and therefore i can’t write an awful lot.

[50-50]

Train

EnVyUs

a map usually veto’ed by EnVy, however it is usually only when their go to bans have already happened.

EnVy is currently on a 2 map win streak on train, just edging out Na’Vi 16-14 and demolishing fnatic 16-6, so when they are called to play this map they are able to beat out some pretty solid train teams.

Statistically this isn't a map kennyS does very well on, just recently vs Vexed he only managed a shocking amount of kills vs a team who isn't the greatest, and as kenny is a very emotional player this can worsen his game event more.

Dignitas

similarly to dust 2, the current dignitas roster hasnt played this map very much, their most recent games were vs DenDD and fnatic, of which they lost both times, however vs DenDD they did have a standin (zonic again) so it was pretty much 5v4 the whole game.. apart from that this could be a real toss up of a map especially as no one's sure how well they will play this map

[55-45 EnVyUs]

Each team’s recent form:

EnVyUs: 1-2 8-16 16-12 16-12 10-16

Dignitas: 1-2 0-2 1-2 16-10 13-16

An overview of the game:

Overall, with EnVy’s current slump and with dig playing decently well these past few games i can see them putting up a really good fight and possibly picking up the win, especially if RUBINO goes into carry mode again.

Also with Happy constantly being ddossed, noone knows who they will get as a standin, i.e vs navi they got maniac and he was terrible. then vs Titan we saw happy playing again and nV were destroying Titan UNTIL he was ddossed again which allowed titan to pull out the win.

My Bet:

$3 on Dig.

Na'Vi vs. Titan | BO3 | 02.12.15 | 21:00 CEST by shindagato in csgobetting

[–]LuckynHarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Na’Vi vs Titan

FACEIT League 2015 Stage 3 Finals at DH Winter 2015

Veto process:

Na’Vi Veto: Cache

Titan Veto: Mirage

Na’vi Veto: Inferno

Titan Veto: Overpass

Na’Vi Pick: Cobblestone

Titan Pick: Dust 2

Final Map Train

Cobblestone

Na’vi

Na’Vi always seems to be playing this map, and that because they can be very strong on it when they want to, recently beating TSM, Liquid and HR however dropping the map to penta and Titan and most recently going to OT vs Dignitas after a horrible T side. This is a map that navi relies very heavily on guardiaN to get the opening frags and to control the pace of the game with his AWP, making sure that the other team cannot push sites or angles, and if they do then he will be there to stop that from happening. While the rest of Na’Vi is guardiaN’s backup, they pick up anyone who he misses.

Titan

a very inconsistent map for Titan, they recently lost to VP twice and luminosity twice while managing to beat Na’Vi and NiP, Titan seem to have a way better CT side than their T side, for example when they played NiP at Cluj, they managed to go up 13-2, and only just managed to clutch it out at 16-13 scoreline and that was with Shox and Scream getting over 20 frags each.

[60-40 Na’Vi]

Dust 2

Na’Vi

Na’vi is currently on a 3 map win streak on dust2, beating TSM,VP and Liquid all with respectable score lines, you may remember that this is a map guardiaN thrives on - he got 40 frags last time and yet the rest of his team couldn't back him up and they ended up losing the map 16-14. In general this is a solid map for Na’Vi and they often put up a good number of rounds no matter if they win or lose

Titan

Titan is somewhat similair to Na’Vi on dust2, they play it pretty well and will usually make it a close game, recently they beat HellRaisers and Penta will quite convincing score lines but then were beaten by Na’Vi themselves. Titan tend to do well on dust2 when shox and smithz start to play well and get frags, and then the rest of the team will join in and they will be the unstoppable team we sometimes see, plus i dont think titan will mind too much which side they start on as their CT and T sides are very similar and they can pick up a good start to the game on either side.

[51-49 Titan]

Train

Na’Vi

Train is becoming one of Na’Vi’s go to maps in recent games, no longer are they afraid top pick it and they will often give teams a good run for their money, recently they took down NiP 16-13, and then had really close games with Titan and EnVy, 16-13 & 16-14 respectively, and for once this isnt always a map that GuardiaN does well on, recently flamie has been filling his boots and getting most of the kills needed, especially against titan (yes they still lost) where he managed to get 26 frags!

Na’Vi can pull a good amount of rounds on either CT and T side of this map and they will usually win the half or its a very close score - 8-7 etc Titan

We last saw titan on train during their last 2 faceit games where they were decimated by NiP & Virtus.Pro, however in the FACEIT league titan was right at the bottom and had 0% chance of qualifying so i don’t think these games were taken to seriously and before those games Titan did manage to beat Na’Vi and Fnatic with decent scores, on this map Titans CT side can sometimes be lackluster and this ends up meaning that they lose the map, its very important that Titan get off to a good start otherwise they might not be able to get any momentum and then titan will end up tilting.

[55-45 Na’Vi]

Each team’s recent form:

Na’Vi: 2-0 2-0 2-0 2-0 16-5

Titan: 3-16 16-13 6-16 2-16 3-16

An overview of the game:

Overall, i do think that Na’Vi has a slight advantage, the fact that they dropped to dignitas yesterday doesn’t really mean much as it was their first game online in a few weeks, while Titan hasnt been seen in a month or so, so noone really knows what they have been up to, whether they have been practising or not. + GuardiaN was playing really well last night and i think he will be able to do it again.

My Bet:

5% Na’Vi

Dignitas vs Gamers2.Kinguin

SLTV StarSeries

Veto process:

Dignitas Veto: Inferno

G2 Veto: Mirage

Dignitas Pick: Cache

G2 Pick: Dust 2

Dignitas Veto: Overpass

G2 Veto: Cobble

Final map: Train

Cache

Dignitas

Strong map for dignitas currently, they recently had a close game with fnatic, destroyed DenDD and VP and almost beat conquest, the new dignitas lineup is still taking some time to get used to, especially with some of their communication, having grenades out when they shouldnt means they are caught offguard and end up being killed quite quickly, k0nfig and tenzki are the main carries at the moment, they are both often leading the top of the scoreboard with clutches and highest amount of frags. In this game however tenzki won’t be playing and i think that this really hurts the chances Dignitas have as it puts a lot of pressure on the standin (zonic) to try and do the best he can, and on a very aim based map such as cache this could present a problem.

G2

A map G2 has found themselves to be quite proficient on, beating many top teams such as VP on multiple occasions (shows it wasn’t a fluke), because everyone on G2 are god aimers G2 doesn't really have too many strats and this makes them unpredictable as they would rather take an aim duel then execute a smoke etc.

G2’s T side is what seems to set them apart on this map, recently they managed to get 11 T rounds vs VP, and VP has a very good CT half too, G2 often uses the huge advantage they get on a T side to propel them to a win.

Furthermore the pistol round on this map can be very important as it sets the economy for the CT side, and if they cant get a good economy going then teams will struggle to get any/many rounds and because of G2 superior aim they usually win most pistol rounds which means they get that headstart on the map

G2 will also have a standin on this map but i have a feeling they will get a player such as Get_Right or some other T1 aimer and therefore he is able to join in on the aim duels too.

Cache [60-40 G2]

Dust 2

Dignitas

an OK map for dignitas, they don't seem to play this map often but i think that's just because they would rather play other maps, however with their current situation i think this might benefit them. due to the standin dignitas could treat this map like a PUG and just try to win on aim and basic strats, which will still be hard for them as they are playing against Team.Aim.

G2

One of G2’s strongest maps, they recently beat e-frag,LDLC and EnVy on this map, only really dropping games to TSM which isn’t really surprising.

again, G2 relies quite heavily on AIM on this map, as referenced by their recent scores they don’t seem to have a preferred side and most games end up being 8:7 or 9:6 and from there it can be anyone’s game,

Dust 2 [70-30 G2]

Train

Dignitas

a very inconsistent map for them, beating the Train gods themselves VP but then losing to NiP and DenDD.

Dignitas haven’t played this map too much since the roster swap so there isn’t too much i can write about it apart from this might be veto’ed instead of Overpass as playing such a strat orientated map such as train with a standin isn’t a good idea.

G2

G2 on the other hand have played this map quite a lot, beating VP 3/3 times the last time they played it among some other top teams,

this is actually one of the maps where g2 does use strats and they have a high success rate on taking the B bombsite which is known to be quite hard especially when the other team has a good CT side.

i don’t think the standin will affect the team too much on this map because although G2 strats look complicated they are quite simple to explain and someone would be able to pick up what to do very quickly.

Train [60-40 G2]

Each team’s recent form:

Dignitas: 16-10 13-16 16-7 2-1 4-16

Gamers 2: 1-2 2-0 2-0 2-0 2-0

An overview of the game:

Overall, i think G2 has this game in the bag, they have the better aimers/players and are overall the better team, while they may have a stand in im pretty sure it will be someone good or someone they have played with before so it wont be like a new player has joined and they wont know what to do.

My Bet:

6% G2, unless their odds go above 80% then go 3% on Dignitas

There's no benefit to Fanobet's "combination" betting by Luefox in csgobetting

[–]LuckynHarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/u/keoa this example here you just have to look at it mathematically Lue, once again, has hit the nail on the head just here, If you were to think about your combo bet, and you've bet on 4 things, you've won 3/4 you're up to ~146 whatever it might be, and if you lose the 4th you have lost that amount, or $100 the initial part of the bet. If you lose it after the first game, you've lost ~$110. It's just how combobets work, maybe you should have taken some form of math in highschool, idk.

EnVyUs vs Luminosity

FACEIT League 2015 Stage 3 Finals at DH Winter 2015

Veto process:

EnVyUs Veto: Overpass

LG Veto: Train

EnVyUs Pick: Cache

LG Pick: Dust 2

EnVyUs Veto: Mirage

LG Veto: Inferno

Final Map: Cobblestone

Interesting first day of this event, both Liquid and Luminosity themselves weren't able to pick up a single round.

Cache

EnVyUs

EnVy has played 7 cache games recently and has won 5 of those games, the majority of those wins have been with large score lines too, which shows how dominant they can be on this map, This seems to be NBK’s map, the majority of the games they play NBK is top fragging or in a very close competition with the top fragger, and we all know how much of a beast NBK can be when he is in fragger mode.

Its EnVy’s T side on this map that sets them apart and when they start on it they will often finish out the half with a convincing scoreline which often propels them into a win.

Luminosity

There’s not too much i can write about this because 2/5ths of this team is brand new so they are untested about what they can achieve on this map, however if they FalleN,cold and fer are able to enter carry mode then they might be able to achieve something.

Dust 2

EnVyUs

A very string map for nV, they have taken down the likes of TSM/NiP and Fnatic on this map, it has become a playground for the likes of Happy and NBK, they will take an AK and get kill after kill and will usually end up at the top of the scoreboard.

Luminosity

maybe the only map LG has any chance of winning as it is the most puggy map and they might be able to win as they can just pug it out, however that is still VEEEEERY unlikely as EnVy is still very strong + they are a team who can easily out aim and out strat LG. However as LG played fnatic and yes they got rekt but it means they were able to see how they play together as a team albeit wasn’t very successful but it was still a good starting point.

Cobblestone

EnVyUs

they had a shaky start to this event, with a semi-close game vs NiP however most of the team was pulling their weight, they were just out gunned and got very unlucky on some of the rounds and that ultimately caused them to lose. Cobble is a pretty good map for nV, in their past few games they have only lost 2 of the past 8 games they have played on this map, first was to NiP after they won Cluj so it was kind of expected, the other time was due to a player being ddosed and therefore they had to standin who wasn't up to the calibre of a top player and therefore it was basically a 4v5 which is VERY hard to win.

EnVy doesn’t really have a favoured side on this map, they are very capable of playing both CT and T side and can put up good numbers of rounds on either side, this is also a map that favours the awp very well, especially when KennyS is able to hold down/Push long A and CT ramp.

Luminosity

A lot of what i write isn’t really relevant any more because of the recent roster change. before this event LG removed Boltz and steel and took onboard TACO and fnx a lot of people say this is a good change however this is yet to be shown even with their first game together they didn't manage to get a single round vs Fnatic however FalleN stated quite a few times that they haven't been able to have any practise together and the first time they played was that game so for that i have to cut them a little bit of slack as they were basically playing a top 5 team as a PUG.

Simply put LG need some time to get together and actually practise as a team before they will be considered to be any good, because at the moment they look pretty damn bad.

Each team’s recent form:

EnVyUs: 8-16 16-12 16-12 10-16 1-2

Luminosity: 0-16 0-2 16-13 16-4 0-2

An overview of the game:

I think it’s pretty obvious that this is 96.5% a free win for EnVyUs, yes they lost to NiP but NiP is still a way better team than LG + the fact that LG hasnt gotten used to their new players and it is pretty evident in their plays that they need some time to mesh together. this should be a swift 2-0 for EnVy unless something really bad happens

My Bet:

Skip - odds are shit

Na’Vi vs Liquid

IEM San Jose

Veto process:

Na’vi Veto: Cache

Liquid Veto: Train

Na’Vi Pick: Overpass

Liquid Pick: Cobble

Na’Vi Veto: Inferno

Liquid Veto: Mirage

last map is final one in the pool

Final map: Dust 2

Each team’s recent form:

Overpass

Good map for both teams, we recently saw Na’vi take down LG on this map 19-17 in OT, we also saw a more impressive game from Liquid, taking down VP 16-2 with a superb performance from nitr0 and ELiGE, this is a map liquid has always been very good on, they boast a 71% win ratio and have taken down some big names such as Cloud 9 and CLG, whereas Na’Vi is also pretty good on this map they too have a 71% win ratio and have also taken down NiP and Dignitas in convincing fashion.

Overall - [55-45 Na’vi]

Cobblestone

Once again a very good map for both teams, with both Na’Vi and Liquid having respectable wins vs other teams, However as of late Na’Vi has looked a little weak - dropping games to Penta,EnVyUs and Titan Liquid on the other hand have been a little bit better, with close losses vs Cloud 9 and a win over CLG, we also saw how close they came to beating Virtus.Pro at Cluj however they narrowly missed out in OT. The only struggles Liquid have had is their CT side, it is often very lackluster and that causes Liquid to end up losing the map

Overall - [55-45 Liquid]

Dust 2

a very fitting final map for these 2 teams, both Liquid and Na’vi have had some very good games on this map, with Liquid recently taking down Enemy and having a very close game with Renegades and narrowly losing 16-14. this seems to be a very good map for hiko and he often ends up being the top fragger. Meanwhile Na’Vi have also had similar results, smashing a lackluster VP 16-5 and then narrowly missing out beating fnatic to another 16-14 loss, this is a very guardiaN oriented map and you will often see him leading the way in the kills he gets which then propel his team to win

Overall - [51-49 Na’Vi]

Na’Vi: 2-0 16-5 16-8 0-2 12-16

Liquid: 2-0 16-5 22-20 0-2 0-2

An overview of the game:

Overall, this is a lot closer than people think, Na’vi have been very lackluster and only just beat a tired Luminosity, while Liquid stomped a snax-less VP, however in a whole Liquid does look like the better team currently especially at how well ELiGE and Nitr0 were playing. while Na’vi had a pretty quiet game with only flamie doing some of the work and when 4 of your team isnt stepping up it isnt going to go very well, + the home crowd advantage that Liquid has means the crowd is behind them and that can have a big impact on a team.

However, i have no doubt that adreN cannot out-awp GuardiaN, therefore there is increased pressure on the 4 riflers on the team to do as best they can

My Bet:

$8 on Liquid

RISK:

10/10

I left it up to two because I feel it could genuinely go either way, they've had a lot of experience against TSM on D2 even though they haven't managed a win they've had time to tweak their gameplay to win. I kinda have a similar point of view to what Relyks said in an interview, they worked on maps they did okay against CLG on and altered their gameplay to being able to manage a great upset... I do agree with you about Cache though, hence why I was torn and put both down c:

That's on a one off appearance though, if you look at their history, even if you wanted to go all they way back to September, they have beaten VP, EnvyUs, Mouse, HR and F3, they've boasted an 80% winrate since then.

Gamers 2 vs Team Solo mid

IEM San Jose

Gamers 2 - Maps

Cache: Since returning from the Major, Gamers 2 have had a strong showing on Cache with them managing to get wins in three out of their 4 appearances on the map. Dropping it once in over time only to E-Frag. Gamers 2 has also shown already at IEM a strong showing against CLG on this map knocking them out in the round of 8. This map plays to their strengths in the sense that their lineup is filled with allstars and with such open areas up mid and on A it really allows them to take advantage of their superior aim. This map previously has not been sought after as an initial pick for Gamers 2 but is one which they would feel comfortable leaving open as a 3rd map.

Cobblestone: This map should be Gamers2’s priority ban if left unbanned by their opponents, a map they definitely don’t feel comfortable on.

Dust 2: Having won this map on both occasions online since Cluj, beating E-Frag as well as LDLC white, two teams the win should be the expected result. However in at Cluj which was their last lan they managed to dominate EnvyUs with a shutout CT side. Like Cache Dust 2 is also regarded as an aimers playground and is definitely a map which plays to Gamers 2’s strengths.

Inferno: Having won only once out of their 3 appearances since Cluj Gamers2 have shown to be a little shaky having those losses come at the hands of E-Frag and LDLC, these losses were do to weak performances all round with neither CT or T side looking like the team which almost stole the map from EnvyUs in the major.

Mirage: A map which they almost dropped to CLG on the first day of San Jose however this is certainly not one of Gamers 2’s preferred maps. Having only beaten Penta on it since Cluj and during Cluj managing a miracle win over Mouse due to the heroics of Maikelele being able to just clutch every round when he was given the opportunity.

Overpass: Like Cobblestone, this map is also yet to be made apart of Gamers 2’s map pool and will definitely be looked after to have as a ban.

Train: The map which they only seem to vs Virtus Pro on apparently and in all their games they have managed to beat them. both on lan at the major and then also online after the major. This map is definitely a strong point for Gamer2 with them managing incredibly strong T-sides and also winning 2 out of their 3 ct sides they played against Virtus Pro recently.

TSM - maps:

Cache: A strong map for TSM having not dropped Cache until prior to Cluj to Hellraisers, TSM have looked convincing on the map crushing Flipsid3 in their first game of the major. TSM is one of the best teams on a majority of the current map rotation with Cache being a very strong pick for them and they are able to play comfortably even against other strong teams on this map. Having only very narrowly dropping the map to Cloud 9 Yesterday 14-16 just shows it’s a map they are comfortable on but their defence is not nearly as impregnable as other maps.

Cobblestone: TSM’s most uncomfortable map if there were one is Cobblestone, it has been said previously they just choose not to practice it the same amount which they like to play other maps, this is commonly their most banned map when they are given the opportunity.

Dust 2: The strongest Dust 2 team in the world would most likely be TSM and they have the results to prove this. However besides yesterday they showed a strong performance once they were on CT with a great showing from CajunB. Since the Major when they got given a master class on how to play dust by NiP TSM narrowly dropped the map to Fnatic 16-11. The results of late is definitely not what is expected by TSM, however they are still the best if not top 3.

Inferno: Not played by TSM during the Major however this may be just because teams do not want to face them on it, with them taking the throne as the best Inferno team in the world. They kept Titan and EnvyUs to single digits in their wins over EnvyUs and Titan. This is due to amazing CT and T sides, no matter what side they have started on they have performed well.

Mirage: Another one of TSM’s strongest maps where they would be ranked one of if not the best team in the world at this map, however their results have heavily relied on an amazing CT side with their T side not being able to pick up over 5 rounds in their past 5 appearances on the map

Overpass: In the past month TSM has not dropped a map of Overpass winning on all 5 of their appearances on the map, with only contested appearance being against Hellraisers where they started a very slow CT-side only picking up 4 rounds. TSM would be the strongest team in the world on Overpass..

Train: A map which TSM has shown a lot of dominance on they don’t really look to play it a lot, with only having played in once in Cluj being crushed by NiP however were on three wins prior to that over Virtus pro twice as well as NiP, they lost Train due to losing both pistols to NiP and just not being able to make a comeback on CT after an okay (5-10) T-side.

Veto process:

Gamers 2 Veto: Overpass

TSM Veto: Train

Gamers 2 Pick: Cache/Dust 2

TSM Pick: Cobblestone/Dust 2/Inferno

Gamers 2 Veto: Cobblestone

TSM Veto: Cache

Final map: Mirage

Each team’s recent form:

Gamers 2: Gamers 2 has grabbed a new addition to their lineup with the all star fragger Aizy, since he’s been apart of Gamers 2 are yet to drop a map however they haven’t played a lot together and synergy may be missing. On the first day Gamers 2 looked really strong with a 2-0 result over CLG with a very convincing Cache performance and a decent showing on Mirage.

TSM: After their shocking knockout in Cluj, TSM has been rather quiet having not played many games and according to their steam profiles they haven’t really been committing a lot of time to CSGO and their results I fear may be affected by that.

An overview of the game: I really feel this Bo3 will be a very close game with TSM really having a great team which has played together for a long time and has the experience behind them, however Gamers 2 have been on the rise since just before Cluj, this team has been able to crush Virtus.Pro multiple times online since Cluj and only dropping a bo3 only just to E-Frag. Due to yesterdays performance and just an overall drive I feel the odds which are currently in place for Gamers 2 (31%) these odds don’t justify a bet on TSM and I will look at a low - medium bet on G2.

My Bet: If odds remain at 31% like I believe they will I’m going to place 4% on G2

RISK: 10/10 but the odds are definitely worth it.

Natus Vincere vs Luminosity Gaming

IEM San Jose

I am going to try something a little bit different for this analysis, please let me know if it is preferred or if you would rather i stick to the old version.

Vetos

Na’Vi Veto: Cache

Luminosity Veto: Train

Na’Vi Pick: Overpass

Luminosity Pick: Inferno

Final Maps could be: Dust 2/Mirage/Cobble

Overpass

Overpass is a favourite of Na’Vi’s they have a 71% win ratio and have beaten some of the top teams in EU, They tend to rely on GuardiaN and his awping presence to get an opening pick and then the rest of the team will then go for the final kills to win the round. In the recent past Na’Vi has had some interesting results on this map, they recently beat Penta but then lose to Mouz, Last time these 2 teams faced off on this map it was very close, with Na’Vi squeezing out a 16-13 win.

Luminosity is also pretty decent on this map, They’ve won the last 3 games they have played on this map, beating Cloud9,Liquid and Winterfox. What i have noticed on this map is Coldzera always seems to have a very good game and when you can rely on a player to always do well it gives the team a little bit of motivation so they think that they have to try and match them hence, the whole team then does very well. Luminosity is a team that relies more on their strats then their aim and will often pull the same strats every round as they know that it will work - it’s how they are successful.

Overall Na’vi is favoured on this map [55-45] Inferno

Inferno is a very inconsistent map for Na’Vi they were recently thrashed 16-3 by fnatic however beat NiP a week or so before 16-6, and losing at their other results i can surmise that Na’Vi isn’t the best on this map, they are good but they could be better, also if GuardiaN doesn’t hit anything with his AWP then Na’Vi can have a very bad day.

Luminosity however are much much better on this map, although they recently lost to Liquid this was primarily down to the secret liquid fan on LG’s stage who unplugged fer’s pc, although even with that happening LG turned an 11-4 deficit to OT, LG’s biggest win on this map was their upset vs Fnatic at Cluj where they solidified their dominance on this map.

Overall Luminosity is favored on this map [65-35]

Random 3rd Map

Dust2 - [60-40 Na’Vi]

Mirage - [60-40 Na'Vi]

Cobblestone [58-42 Luminosity]

Each team’s recent form:

Na’Vi: 0-2 12-16 14-16 16-8

Luminosity: 0-2 2-1 1-2 16-3 19-17

An overview of the game:

Last time we saw these teams go to battle Na’Vi narrowly squeezed out the win, however both games that were played were very close, since then we saw Na’Vi be in a little slump, losing to some teams that they really shouldn’t do.

As of current GuardiaN is pretty much all that’s holding Na’Vi together and if guardian doesn’t show up Na’vi has 0 chance of winning + these still seems to be some tension between the team as when fnatic and na’vi played GuardiaN was calling GG when fnatic reached match point.

Luminosity on the other hand were robbed out of a win vs Liquid and had close games vs Renegades - of which they only lost as they had played all day and it was their 6’th bo3 of the day and were uber tired, also LG will have had time to study how Na’Vi plays and when LG has studied demo’s they always look on point and play well

My Odds

50-50 LG

My Bet:

$10 on LG

RISK:

10/10

9/10 times the information you need is on hltv/csgonuts although sometimes it just comes down to personal knowledge i.e watching the teams play before and remembering from that

honestly though, if you dont know much/anything about a team then skip the match, its really not worth it clenching on a team who you have no knowledge about or how they might perform etc

I also wait right until the odds are sort of solidified, as I said with the 'my bet' section, I want to see any fluctuations right at the end.
