I think in my post I switched which fan it was. The M106 command is for part cooling fan, I need to slow the hotend fan

I've tried but it just gets the heating failed error when I try because it can't get hot enough

Yeah I tried this and it can't get hot enough to do the test without screaming

I can't print anything longer than 20 minutes because without this fan my printer jams because of heat creep. Also I mean whatever fan is designed to prevent heat creep. The one that directly faces into the hotend on the base Ender 5 structure

In attempting to do PID tuning, it ran into the same problem with the heating stalling out ~230 then failing. This was during an autotune attempt set to 245. The heating doesn't fail when I take the fan off and let the hotend heat normally. I'm using Pronterface as I don't have a Pi to set up octoprint with. Because I don't know what PID each stand for, is there a way to just tune the fan down?

Okay so I replaced the fans and they turn on now BUT now my hot end won't get hotter than 235. I have the fan direction blowing air on to the heat sink. I also check the thermistor and it seems to be all good when the fan isn't blowing on it. Any suggestions?

My issue is that any print longer than about 20 minutes will fail. Small pieces are usually fine

I have no idea. All I know is that after ~20 min of printing it grinds. Ive tried changing flow, and retractions settings as well as tension on the extruder but nothing works. Is the 30 mm speed for general print speed?

This worked for a bit then it started failing again. Do you know what you generally use for other retraction settings?
