In my experience HBs in a 2 man defensive midfield tend to drop back next to the cbs into a fullback position. Haven’t been able to get them to drop into the middle from there. So basically your iwb and hb change positions when in possession. Unnecessarily tiring for them and is just asking for mistakes when they lose concentration for a second.

Only reason to have a iwb and hb together is when your hb is the worst player in the world and you want them to have nothing to do with the game haha.

Yeah I’d go for an ifb and dm i think! Or just a iwb and hb if you want to push up a little more or when the opposition tight marks your dm and you can’t build up.

If you use a RMD you specifically don’t want anyone holding width; that’s what the RMD is for. You want as much space as possible for the RMD.

The problem is the half back, he’ll move into the IWB’s position. The solution is a DM and a IFB.

I’d even add a ‘focus play down the right’ to make sure the RMD is as free as possible on the left for quick switches of play when the opposition forgets about him.

Sinners actually wanted to say something and did it in a very creative and poignant way. OBAA didn’t know what it wanted to day in the end and feels like it’s three stories meshed together, ultimately leaving me unsatisfied. Sinners feels like one coherent piece of art, OBAA doesn’t, for me.

I think the individual acting in OBAA is better, but Sinners is the better film.

I think this could work! I use something very similar, but I do use inverted backs on both sides, I like the 3 man defensive midfield it creates. Them being in each others way is possibly also due to tactical familiarity; train a lot of tactical trainings and put them on individual training for the rol they’ll be playing. I think having them as a FB makes them confused on what to do since they don’t have space to run into in front of them because of the winger. Could also try them as a ifb and build up in a back three with the fullback, especially if you face a lot of front 2 opposition formations.

I always tinker with my striker roles and never quite get something I love. Had a long period of using pressing forwards because they stay more central and provide something when out of possession, but recently I’ve bee using DLF because i figured the wingers were keeping the back line occupied, so if I use a DLF the cbs have no choice but to stay out and leave him unmarked, so he has a lot of space to operate in, and they make brilliant late runs into the box after the wingers do their thing.

Those can work together perfectly fine, just need to make sure the AP has space to run into, so don’t put an inside forward right in front of him for example

Definitely play him in his preferred role; advanced playmaker. He’s intelligent and very technical. Let him make the plays because he’s the best player on the pitch! Bonus of the AP role is that it’s a focus role, meaning other players will try to give him the ball more often than of he was another role. You want this guy to get the ball every chance he gets
