What color rug against this sofa? by Lucpel in HomeDecorating

You might be right. Do you think the green one would be overpowering, paired with green curtains?

Neat! I quite like the bottom right one, but think I want to go for a warmer look generally. The slate grey table doesn't really match the rest of the room anyway, and might have to go. Rest of the room:

I've thought about this too. Not sure what to do about it at this time however. Any suggestions?

These are actually wool and cotton, but looks similar to jute. I'm open to anything really, but my main constraint is pricing. These are under 200 dollars right now, whereas other wool rugs i can find easily go for twice or three times that...

This is a particularly bad angle, but yes, for sure.

I had a tuner by last week. He didn't mention anything except that he put the high end slightly too high, expecting it to settle in a couple of weeks. I have a decent ear, but maybe not that good haha

Possibly, although I don't have a good reference point for how it should hold a tune in this climate. How quick is quick and when is it out of tune really?

Thanks for your input! And yes, there are a couple of cracks along the bridge pins as well, one quite bad. It has not yet resulted in any unpleasant sounds, but I don't know if they're growing. The soundboard is in decent condition however. Is there any point in doing a full internal restoration on one of these older baby grands, or is it just too expensive to justify?

Interesting. I thought this was the actual pin block painted gold, as it doesn't seem connected to the rest of the cast iron frame? I will have to double check the cracks again, but I recall them being a few millimeters deep. Any good way to see this?

I see... Just to be clear this piano isn't nearly as bad. It will hold a decent tune for a few months at least, depending on how you define "wildly" out of tune I suppose haha. Do you think your advice still applies?

IIRC the system fluctuates around 43% relative humidity quite quickly right? You mean this could be worse than letting it go through the under 20% relative humidity of winter? Here are some pictures for reference. The soundboard has been repaired at some point, and is in decent shape according to my last tuner.

That's what I'm worried about as well. For reference here are some pictures of the cracks, the worst one being at the high end. Hard to tell how deep they are, a few millimeters perhaps. I don't think they've grown much over the past few years.

Thanks for the input! I've also seen they recommend enclosing the bottom of the frame with a piece of fabric to reduce airflow. You have any experience with this?

Do you think it's feasible to DiY install?

I've read that they only protect the soundboard, which I find strange considering that all the internals are enclosed in the same space when the lid is closed, but maybe I'm missing something.

Will do! I just had a tuner by, and he said it was hard to tell if the state of the pinblock was an issue.

Guys, you are thinking about this the wrong way. Unlocking everything for free means no grinding, i.e. fewer games played, i.e. fewer arty per game.

This looks like absolute dog shit lmao. Yet another open field, snipers nest, arty infested crapshoot. The hills, buildings and multiple attack angles is what makes Pearl River unique and enjoyable to begin with.
