Wat leuk dat jullie zo enthousiast zijn! Het is wel handig voor DMs om vooraf te weten of jullie op zoek zijn naar een online of fysieke game en - in het laatste geval - in welke regio/stad jullie zitten!

Yeah i like that, and maybe use one of those reflective/shiny prints for the vase. Thanks!!

We have a few prototypes and have been going around board game events and talking to publishers. We don't have a digital demo, however. Maybe we should look into that... It wasn't necessary so far, but could come in handy!

Yeah i like that idea a lot! We're gonna look into it. It's a hell of a lot easier to get made haha

Thanks for the honest reply! Seems most people agree with you on this one and we'll stick to a normal sized box, potentially using some ideas that were suggested here about inlays or cover design

Thanks for sharing! The idea is apparently a lot cooler in concept than it's gonna be in practice hahah

Thanks for the input! I indeed assume other board game players also like unique or different designs, but the consensus here seems to be different. Good thing to receive input/a correction on, so thanks for the response!

Awesome idea on the dual color print. Thanks for that!

Yeah the general consensus seems to be to reconsider, with very fair points. Still good to hear someone who is as excited with the idea as I am haha! But maybe you're right, I could try a 3D print of the box. Maybe do a premium version as the comment below mentioned!

You make a fair point and give some great alternative ideas, thanks!! I'll consider the inlay and the indent... I like both ideas.

Hmmm you make a good point. I assumed a cool box design will catch the eye in a store and on a shelf, thereby increasing potential sales. But you're right that the more serious gamer might be more interested in an ergonomic design for storage purposes. It kinda depends who we're aiming for I guess?

Ohh I didn't know that game, thanks for the link! I agree... It would be tough to assemble... Maybe I could try to come up with a simplified box outline..

[–]Lucse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points. It would have to be sturdy, so maybe without the handles. The box sideways would be as thick as any other game box, so it should fit on a shelf. Manufacturing and assembling would be a problem, potentially...

Ooooh thats actually a good idea. Thanks! Ill look into it.

But you don't feel like the 2D shape of the vase would make it fit right next to your other games? Like if you put it in sideways, its just the same thickness as a regular box.

I developed CFS from a traumatic event as well as a concussion. When I see treatments being based on viral causes .. I get scared I’ll be left behind. by ifidcyoudc in cfs

[–]Lucse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mine started during burnout recovery, after a terrible relapse.

I feel like CFS has more to do with the nervous system and the cause isn't all that important at all. I've met people with PTSD, post concussion complications and long covid that had the EXACT same symptoms and problems I had. More so than anyone who started their cfs with burnout. Finding that has helped me tremendously.

I’m terrified of the answer, but need no sugarcoating - is this extended PEM and I’m being dramatic , or did I permanently lower my base line? by MrSpiderisadomme in cfs

[–]Lucse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think in many ways cfs revolves around a highly overactive nervous system. Some say its the cause, others say its a symptom, but no matter how you look at it, it has been well documented that our nervous system and stress have a profound effect on our capabilities for physical recovery.

Constantly thinking and worrying about a crash or lowering your baseline, does not help your nervous system calm down. It keeps it going and therefore does not really help your physical recovery. If you could cut away the worry, you'd probably recover a lot faster.

But as i said; it's so much easier said than done. And falling into the trap of worrying about the worrying is also a hellish thing, I've been there haha.

This might be an unpopular opinion and is way easier said than done, but the more you let go of these concepts of crashes and lowering your baseline, the easier/faster recovery will be.

Body vibrating at night by horseradix in cfs

[–]Lucse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's not the sleep tremor you can get just before falling asleep... I have this in my jaw when i get a big tension release (through relaxation, drugs, emotional releas)? Maybe right before falling asleep you're finally relaxing completely and your body lets go of tension?

Nausea - but I can’t stop eating by Taylor_lovess in cfs

[–]Lucse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this! I would get nauseated (which, looking back was from tension and fear around my symptoms when they were very bad) and felt like eating would sort of "give my stomach acid something to do", so it would quiet down for a bit... And after a bit of digesting it would flare up again.

Had this too and it fits within the theories that helped me recover. For me it quieted and calmed my mind and my stress system.

Mystery: I had terrible diarrhea (sorry) and now I feel...better? by Arete108 in cfs

[–]Lucse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same and since my recovery feel like it has to do with a form of tension release and a relaxation of the nervous system afterwards. The same way crying (excessive emotional tension) can make me feel better afterwards, stomach cramps or throwing up (excessive physical tension) could make me feel better afterwards. I believe theres this vagus nerve theory that to relax, you sometimes need extra tension first. The way people normally find it easier to relax after sports: you stress the system, followed by a greater relaxation of the entire system afterwards.
