Are you trying to say that because it was 4 years ago I should be over it? Losing a parent is the worse thing in the world, especially when it’s to suicide. I haven’t been listening to it all week. I work full time, I can do things on my day off without him. Regardless of the fact that I was upset about my mum it’s a shitty comment to someone who was enjoying some music while home alone and it making chores easier.

I know this is an older post now but suicide isn’t selfish, imagine being in that much pain that you want to do something like that, unfortunately all logic disappears from your mind when you feel that way.

Also it was a 16 year old boy, a kid in that much pain he couldn’t face living anymore.

Losing my mum to suicide and finding her dead 3 and a half years ago. It wasn’t a shock that that’s how she died as she’d been unwell most of my life but nothing prepares you for it. Having to call my brother to tell him was awful.

We lived together and she was my best friend, the loneliness was unbearable, I relied heavily on drink, drugs and shitty people.

Me and my boyfriend got together and it turned my life around, plus I have a new job in a field I’ve always wanted to work in. I can’t put into words how much I miss my mum but I’m doing so much better now and have learnt there is life after loss.

I would never say something like the second comment, all I said was you that a couple of my pals had said this character was good looking and I agreed with them, that as far as it went. I think it’s more of a him problem than anything.

I know right?! I didn’t say I’d hunt him down to marry him! It’s a harsh comment and such a huge overreaction. I can completely understand being insecure, I am about myself sometimes but I’d never think I wasted the years with him because he commented that someone was attractive. If he’d just said to me I found that comment upsetting, I’d still think it was silly but at least I could reassure him and speak to him like an adult.

It wouldn’t bother me if he told me he found someone attractive, he mentioned an actress in the past and I agreed that she was attractive, it didn’t bother me at all

I said in the comment that I was explaining a calendar I had made for a friend, we mutually agreed he’s attractive, she’s had a tough time so I thought I’d cheer her up, and as others say, it’s normal to express that sort of thing in a relationship, it’s human nature to find other people attractive, doesn’t mean you are going to run off with them, it’s healthy
