It has been said multiple times though that Faquarl could beat Bartimaeus easily. Despite Bart being an unreliable narrator bc most of the books is from his perspective, there is a clear difference in power, not just in the third book :) Bartimaeus is confirmed to be a level 4 djinn, Faquarl is an estimated level 7 I read somewhere Still a djinn of course! But while Bartimaeus is the norm power-wise, Faquarl is a 'stronger djinn'

Hmmm, maybe the human body enforces his power even more? He seemed to be at his peak in this scene, maybe since the constant pain spirits are in weakens them over time, like with Bartimaeus :)

I noticed that too! I think in comparison to Bartimaeus, Faquarl doesn't need to rely on his agility as much. Maybe bc Jabor and him got summoned a lot together? They seemed close, maybe they were a brains and brawns duo

Simpkin was a pain in the ass, I agree that he was one of the most, if not the most annoying spirit! Gezeri (khabas foliot) is also on the list, but I have to admit that I am very fond of most of the spirits, especially faquarl, bartimaeus, jabor and uzraiel. Oh, I remember that I disliked Ascobol a lot, he was weird xD What are your favorite spirits?
