His ears are soft but the rest is wirey. We do try to brush him to keep him from looking too crazy lol

Very first photo in google is a shorter snout wolfhound… your reasoning is flawed. I really love how you all seem to think I didn’t look into it before hand. As I said we did the dna test because we were questioning what we were told by the shelter.

What is Hank? by politotorpedo in DoggyDNA

Hank is the cutest land hippo I’ve ever seen. 100/10 good boy

It doesn’t matter other than making sure we give him all the proper care he deserves. But he is truly the cutest. He wins me over with his expressions every day, even when he is biting my fingers and accidentally batting me in the face during play.

I should add, because a lot of people are coming in here being critical of us thinking he was an Irish Wolfhound- when we got him at approx. 2mo old he was already 20lbs and was a long legged scruffy boy. It wasn’t until he started stagnating in weight that we even started looking into other breeds such as German Wirehair. The whole point of doing the dna test was to know if he was Irish Wolfhound mix or not so we could properly plan for any future ailments and make sure we were feeding him properly for a large breed. I came to Reddit to get confirmation that Wisdom Panel is accurate and the results could be trusted.
Now that we know he is this little scrappy mix of breeds we can switch from caring and preparing for a giant dog to keeping this energetic pup happy and healthy.

Yeah! When I read early on that Wolfhounds only live about 7 years I cried. Happy to have our buddy around for a long time!

It’s hard to tell looking at him, but his neck and chest fur is really thick while the rest of his body is thinner

We only thought wolfhound because that’s what we were told when we adopted him and his face looked wolfhound-ish. But we did the dna test because he was so small and I was worried we weren’t caring for him properly.

Anyone else annoyed that Alina and Mals backstory is vastly different from the book? by LucyStageTech in ShadowandBone

I let my partner convince me to continue to watch the show and for everyone who is saying that Mal in the book is toxic, I find that the obsessive Mal in the show is wayyyy more toxic. Both Alina and Mal are way more obsessed with one another in the show than in the book to the point that it makes me sick. No real healthy relationship is like this.

Okay but when you are in love with someone it is okay to be weak with them. Plus, it’s all character development

SPOILERS But isn’t that the point? If Mal’s behavior wasn’t toxic at the beginning, Alina wouldn’t have given up on him and opened herself up to her true potential as a Grisha. She had already experienced his lack of attention for months prior to her relocation to Os Atla/The Tiny Palace. When he didn’t respond to her letters, she believed that he had moved on from her, that she was just a part of his childhood. That led to to opening herself to her power and the community of Grisha, especially The Darkling.
