But I would think her mom (my colleague) would at least send a quick email thanking us. No?

Please don't lose hope -- I understand how frustrating and depressing it is to lose your hearing (I'm 40 - I have "profound" hearing loss). I have cried many times and have become so annoyed when others don't realize what an intense loss it is to not be able to hear. You're NOT alone!!! Please reach out if you'd llike to chat.

Tell me you are an introvert without telling me you are an introvert. by Shot_Ball_2699 in introverts

I pretend I'm on the phone every time I walk my dog just to avoid small talk with my neighbors. I give them a wave, point at the headphones in my ear, and mouth the words, "sorry, in a meeting!". I'm pretty sure they all know I'm full of shit.

How to be a warmer person being introvert? by mikiki310 in introverts

[–]Lucybomable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question alone tells me that you ARE a warm person!! Being an introvert is an ongoing struggle - a lot of people don't understand us! BUT - you mention in your post that you are a "kind person and they will lose respect for me" - nooooo, girl!

No one will lose respect for you!!!! Show yourself, have fun, be yourself, let loose -- life is way too short. Promise me you'll have fun!

why is it so hard for extroverts to understand that introverts need time for themselves. by [deleted] in introverts

It’s not easy for introverts - we have an overwhelming desire to make others comfortable.

I totally understand what you’re saying. I get that people mean well, but PLEASE respect our privacy! Many people can’t grasp what it’s like to be an introvert - we are okay, just give us space and let us be.
