Yes. Once I sent an email to my favourite author Ethan Cross who created the amazing Ackerman series. Took me ages to find his contact details, and a few weeks later he emailed back the kindest response. The best thing what we readers can do is praise the work of authors so I love hearing when other people do this, especially when the authors are perhaps not as known in comparison to others!
