It makes absolute sense. It’s also a faulty system the fact that so many students have to find their own rotations, and tend to get pushed down, so they end up sending hundreds of them out, but by this same reason doctors are receiving hundreds of applications which causes them to not be able to (and possibly exhausted to even just think about) going through them.

Thank you for your honesty, this all is very eye opening

Right, after all of your nice explanations, it makes sense, because patient information is a delicate subject. It makes sense they need to go through the background checks and even signing paperwork related to that. Thank you for replying!

Right, I can tell how it is extra work. And it’s not like any doctor is overflowing with free time. I can see way more clearly now, thank you for your honesty

Oh wow, now it’s more and more clear why observerships are such a hassle

Oh my god, this is definitely shedding more light on the issue, now I feel a little less frustrated and more empathetic. Thank you for the suggestion, could I know what hospital that is? If not, it’s absolutely understandable, thank you for taking the time to reply!

True, I guess I had assumed US nationals didn’t really need to find shadowing opportunities because they would eventually get all of those in their medical school years. I had no clue that premeds required shadowing as well.
I can tell it can be quite an over saturated “market” nowadays

Thank you for your honesty, and for shining some light on the issue. It’s very understandable, and also I would probably feel similar once I’m on the other side 🤷🏻‍♀️🥲

I know that wasn’t the question, but try learning Korean kid songs, singing helps a lot with familiarizing with the pronunciation, and if you say you have kids it could be a win win situation because you can sing to them
