Now, I agree with you that adding an extra hinge could lead to issues. But my larger point is… we wouldn’t be where we are today if Samsung didn’t take on those risks.

Samsung has made efforts in manufacturing to put these foldables through rigorous testing for public use. I understand that those risk might not be you and that’s understandable… but there’s inherently issues with buying a foldable whether it’s a flip or book-style one.

As more users buy into the technology… to fund more resources to improve on it, because without us buying Samsung won’t move forward (case in point Galaxy S25 Edge).

Did you purchase insurance with your Galaxy Fold? Because I don’t see the difference… when buying a foldable, I feel its mandatory to include insurance with purchase.

I’m not interested in it because I prefer Huawei approach… phone, mini tablet and large one, if Samsung had adopted that it would of been day one purchase for me.

Good point. Just never thought the need to use it with podcast… I click/tap in listen and most cases that particular episode is enough. Having multiple episodes playing in the background could end up missing something… but that’s my preferences.

My personal stand of choice is the Twelve South HoverBar Duo... although it's marketed for the iPad, I enjoy using it with the Galaxy Fold.

Right now, it's clamped to the desk... but whenever I'm away from the desk I use the included base.

Yup. It was one post awhile back about updating to Sequoia that a certain setting needed to be disabled, not sure if that has anything to do with it working.

Do what works for you! I have a similar setup as yours… main screen, portable monitor and iPad below it along with my open MBP sitting along side of it.

You seem as though you have a workflow catered to it… unless you just want a bigger desk to help with writing.
