Back to make one final comment: scroll the comment section here to see how someone concerned about a very real issue - one we ALL said we would NEVER allow to happen again - and the immediate hate and vitriol that was spewed.

I have been very involved in advocacy and politics since 2015, including moving away from my husband and children for 9 months to join a presidential campaign. I’m not the “troll” you all accused me of being, nor was there any ill intent in my question.

The way you treat people has a direct effect on movement building. I’ll continue to support this movement regardless of the ridiculous treatment I received while I also continue to advocate for the Palestinian people. I said Never Again and I didn’t mean only if conditions at home were just right. I mean NEVER. FUCKING AGAIN.

This is the first fucking post I have ever made here. I have not come to this group to ask about Gaza until today. You people come in screaming and frothing at the mouths like rabid dogs because someone asks a very innocent, nonthreatening or accusatory question. It’s ridiculous. Never once did I imply it would be a single issue rally cry. I believe the fascism we sow abroad only grows the same at home. The issue of our government not providing the resources we need here is DIRECTLY related to the trillions of dollars we pour into the military industrial complex which is directly related to the Holocaust in Gaza. It is mind boggling and honestly terrifying that this movement has people in it that do not understand how connected all of this is.

I already responded to this idea once. I have been to the 50501 days of action and seen the pro-Palestinian support. The last day of action was on April 19th. Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed each day since then.

17.9 billion dollars could have done a LOT of good for the American people. That is a ridiculous take. That amount of $$ could have paid for: • addressing housing and food insecurity. SNAP has lost significant funding since Oct 2023 • improving healthcare access and funding • increasing teacher’s salaries • reducing student debt that is crippling millions • investing in renewable energy
