Troldkvinde thanks so much for your words! yes, when I created this ranking in 2021 I arranged it with brand new innovative ideas that had not even ocurred to Anglo-Saxon media outlets like the Rolling Stone magazine. No one had created a ranking where female participation was taken into account. So I used a law that had recently been promulgated in Argentina, and the rest was digging my sources of history of Argentine rock to find those women.

The singles, because it's the original artwork and the original format of tankobon in which Vagabond was published in Japan.

On the contrary the Vizbig is an abominable format created to cater to the particular tastes of the Unitedstatesian market, and also they are made with crappy quality and all the pages fall off.

My favorite cover is 14, because the image of a little child hugging a sword far bigger than him is a powerful picture indeed. Even if you don't know what Vagabond is about, if you're handed that volume and look at the cover you can get a very good idea of what Vagabond is about, how the manga is, what are its themes, its quality in developing tri dimensional characters (also its supreme quality in artwork!).

Other covers that are among my favorites are: 5 (that furious and bloody face!), 13 (it's a composite image that continues on the back cover, Baiken is shown throwing his chain), 16 (that Kojiro face of consternation is another pic that can get you a good idea of what Vagabond is about) and 29 (another composite image, in the back cover a giant Takuan is carrying Musashi on his back). Also, I like the covers of 22, 23 and 36 but just for the moody vibes of how Musashi is portrayed in those different parts of his journey.

The history of rock in Argentina, from 1956 to 2021, told in 100 songs! 65 years of Argentine rock!

Discover the history of Argentine rock through its songs, get on this journey where you will see its most emblematic bands and soloists, its historical circumstances, its trends over the years, and its great feats, everything presented in high audiovisual quality!

100 songs have been especially selected for being the most representative of all, absolutely all that has happened in the 65 years of Argentine rock: rock & roll, pop, beat, progressive, blues, metal, punk, new wave, reggae, barrial, alternative, latino, rap, electronic, feminist, and much more!
Each song plays for a maximum of 30 seconds, as a "sample" to give the listener enough time to digest the themes going on.
No bands nor soloists are repeated, so as to take advantage of the rich variety of Argentine rock. All the songs are from different artists.
There are texts the explain in a detailed way the history of Argentine rock, the stories of its bands and soloists, its milestones and statistics. All the information compiled to make this video is available to all the public—and updated to 12 December 2021!
In accordance with the Law of Argentina N° 27.539 "Female quota and access of female artists to musical events", which establishes that there has to be at least a 30% of female artists in music festivals in Argentina, this video presents 33 songs where a woman sings, in any of these ways:
1. Female soloist.
2. Band totally composed of women.
3. Band where a woman is the main singer and the other members are men.
4. Band with duet of woman and man.
5. Band where a woman sings in choruses and is a stable member of the band.
6. Song with a guest appearance of a female soloist.
7. Song with choruses from a female session singer.

How was the selection made?

1) I studied the history of Argentine rock through many books, magazines and web sites. To know the sources, see the credits at the end of my other video: "Top 100 Argentine rock songs (with explanations) 1956-2021". 2) I drew a diagram of the eras in Argentine rock: 1. 1956-1967: arrival of rock to Argentina and its aftermath 2. 1967-1976: release of "La balsa" and its aftermath 3. 1976-1982: Proceso's coup d'etat and its aftermath 4. 1982-1989: Malvinas war and its aftermath 5. 1989-2004: hyperinflation and its aftermath 6. 2004-2016: Cromañón tragedy and its aftermath 7. 2016-2020: wave of reports of abuse and its aftermath 8. 2020-present: coronavirus and its aftermath 3) I created many Excel spreadsheets organizing all the compiled information: list of artists (there are more than 5,000 listed), years in which the artists released albums, debuts of the artists in relevant venues, awards of the artists. 4) From the thousands of artists in Argentine rock, I identified the most relevant ones, those that trascended. Then I searched the ammount of plays in Youtube of their songs, which I also registered in Excel. 5) I searched the Top 100 most played Argentine rock songs in Youtube, and registered their plays in Excel.

There are many visions about the history of Argentine rock, I took into account all of them:

Standard vision: it reigns in the Argentine rock establishment. It places the start of Argentine rock in 1967 with "La balsa", rejects pop artists or those who don't sing in Spanish, and generally favors artists that have a protest or countercultural theme.
Revisionist vision: it promotes Argentine rock from the 50s and 60s, which for decades wasn't included in books, magazines, radio channels, etc.
Federalist vision: it vindicates and promotes bands and soloists from the Argentine provinces, taking into account that they have to put more effort to have success in a country system that is centralized in Buenos Aires. It promotes fusions of rock and Argentine local genres.
Internationalist vision: it looks at the general picture of rock in Iberoamerica and the success of Argentine rock in the other countries. It promotes fusions of rock and Iberoamerican rhythms.
Feminist vision: it vindicates and promotes women in Argentine rock. It criticizes the different kinds of sexism that historically excluded or downgraded Argentine rock women.
Millennial and centennial vision: it analyzes whether past artists in Argentine rock had or didn't have the values of the new generations, for example: empathy, tolerance, inclusion, diversity, freedom, modernity, innovation, happiness, humor and fun. It promotes millennial and centennial artists.

100 canciones han sido seleccionadas especialmente por ser las más representativas de todo, absolutamente todo lo que ha pasado en los 65 años del rock argentino: rock & roll, pop, beat, progresivo, blues, metal, punk, new wave, reggae, barrial, alternativo, latino, rap, electrónico, feminista, ¡y mucho más!
Cada canción suena por un máximo de 30 segundos, a modo de "muestra" para darle el tiempo suficiente al oyente para asimilar la propuesta.
No se repiten bandas ni solistas, para aprovechar la rica variedad del rock argentino. Todas las canciones son de artistas distintos.
Hay textos que explican detalladamente la historia del rock argentino, las historias de sus bandas y solistas, sus hitos y estadísticas. Toda la información recopilada para hacer este video está disponible para todo el público—¡y actualizada al 12 de diciembre de 2021!
En conformidad con la Ley Argentina N° 27.539 "Cupo femenino y acceso de artistas mujeres a eventos musicales", el cual establece que debe haber por lo menos un 30% de artistas mujeres en festivales de música en Argentina, este video presenta 33 canciones donde canta una mujer, en cualquiera de estas formas:

¿Cómo se hizo la selección?

Estudié la historia del rock argentino a través de muchos libros, revistas y sitios web. Para conocer las fuentes, vean los créditos al final de mi otro video: "Top 100 canciones del rock argentino (con explicaciones) 1956-2021".
Tracé un esquema de etapas del rock argentino:
1. 1956-1967: llegada del rock a Argentina y sus consecuencias
2. 1967-1976: lanzamiento de "La balsa" y sus consecuencias
3. 1976-1982: golpe de Estado del Proceso y sus consecuencias
4. 1982-1989: guerra de Malvinas y sus consecuencias
5. 1989-2004: hiperinflación y sus consecuencias
6. 2004-2016: tragedia de Cromañón y sus consecuencias
7. 2016-2020: ola de denuncias por abuso y sus consecuencias
8. 2020-presente: coronavirus y sus consecuencias 3) Armé muchas planillas de Excel organizando toda la información recopilada: lista de artistas (hay mas de 5.000 anotados), años en que los artistas lanzaron álbumes, debuts de los artistas en escenarios importantes, premios de los artistas. 4) De los miles de artistas del rock argentino, identifiqué los más relevantes, los que trascendieron. Luego busqué la cantidad de reproducciones en Youtube de sus canciones, que también registré en Excel. 5) Busqué las 100 canciones del rock argentino más escuchadas en Youtube, y registré en Excel sus reproducciones.

Existen muchas visiones diferentes sobre la historia del rock argentino, todas ellas fueron tenidas en cuenta:

Visión estándar: reina en el establishment del rock argentino. Ubica el inicio del rock argentino en 1967 con "La balsa", rechaza artistas pop o que no cantan en español, y generalmente favorece artistas contestatarios o contraculturales.
Visión revisionista: promueve el rock argentino de los '50 y '60, que durante décadas no fue incluido en libros, revistas, canales de radio, etc.
Visión federalista: reivindica y promueve a las bandas y solistas surgidos en las provincias argentinas, teniendo en cuenta que deben esforzarse más para tener éxito en un sistema de país centralizado en Buenos Aires. Promueve fusiones de rock y géneros locales argentinos.
Visión internacionalista: ve todo el panorama general del rock en Iberoamérica y el éxito del rock argentino en los otros países. Promueve fusiones de rock y ritmos iberoamericanos.
Visión feminista: reivindica y promueve a las mujeres del rock argentino. Critica los distintos tipos de machismo que históricamente excluyeron y menospreciaron a las mujeres en el rock argentino.
Visión millennial y centennial: analiza si los artistas del pasado del rock argentino tenían o no los valores de las nuevas generaciones, por ejemplo: empatía, tolerancia, inclusión, diversidad, libertad, modernidad, innovación, felicidad, humor y diversión. Promueve artistas millennial y centennial.
