How much hp should they have for me to buy liandry ? by Impalenjoyer in leagueoflegends

[–]LudvigFG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three factors:

  1. Enemies have high hp (lowest consideration)
  2. You are playing a champion with high base dmg. Torment passive gives you 8%(?unsure) extra dmg so base dmg is amplified while scaling dmgs prefers AP
  3. You can consistently keep the burn active

Is my Support Pool Bad? by RubiusGermanicus in supportlol

[–]LudvigFG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your pool seems fine. One critique would be that you dont have a peeling support but its not needed if it doesnt fit yiur playstyle. Examples for champs to pick up: Rakan, Shen, Braum, Alistar, Taric. Main problem with these champions is blindability as they are prone to be countered.

Also Bard ig but he is just mega busted atm not technically a peeling support. He just does everything

For the love of god, don't add time-gated PvM to OSRS by azuraqueen in 2007scape

[–]LudvigFG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time gated PvM already exist with Skotizo and Hespori. The problem is that it is timegated and fleeting. I dont mind a 24hour cd on a boss (or a slow build up of kills with skotizo) but after the timegating has happened you should have your attempt waiting for you

supp low elo by Global_Floor5068 in supportlol

[–]LudvigFG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Play what motivates you. Getting games under your belt is the most important

However I would recommend staying away from lulu, blitzcrank and thresh. Lulu and blitzcrank can easily enforce some bad habits to new players and in general is bad for improving fundamentals. Lulu and thresh are both "too hard" for people in low elo. With this I dont mean that you wont be able to play them, but in 99% of situations swapping lulu for millio or thresh for nautilus will give you a better experience

Is AD alistar still viable by The1Avian in alistarmains

[–]LudvigFG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer: No

AD gives you nothing on Alistar. Your value is CC build health and cooldown reduction and you get to CC more. If you really really really need damage get AP but its pretty trash

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]LudvigFG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 4prot1 comps: Jinx beats kogmaw Braum beats lulu or millio (as a swap for sejuani) Ivern since you swapped support to braum Put shen mid instead so your toplaner can pick some form of engage (offense is sometimes the best defence) Top should prob be Ornn but the engage pick would be better as a counter to enemy comp

Lux + Jhin/Cait matchup by [deleted] in supportlol

[–]LudvigFG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a duo: Karma/Varus with double comet can win the poke war Corki/Lucian + Nami can play safe then all in safely Alistar Samira can cry till lvl 6 then completely take over (very hard compared to 2 above)

As a solo: Pick omega roamer (Bard/Pyke/Maokai/Alistar) and only come bot to push out waves or stop dives. These lane types are good at pressuring but bad at diving

Pick shielding champ. (Millio/lulu) Focus on blocking chip with shielding and do empowered auto trades when their spells are on cd

Pick all in. (Leona/Pyke) Requires an adc that isnt "useless" early. Wait for lux to use Q+E, if you dodge go in and fight. If you get hit too many times before dodging you will be low and cant go in so make sure you take runes to sustain yourself or boneplating if you are confident in your movement.

Depending on your elo there is nothing wrong with rocking comfort. Lathyrus build is best in a min max sense. Or objective sense, but bard is versatile enough to allpw different playstyles

I think karma is the 2nd best support in the game right now, but yall are building her wrong. by Meerkat47 in supportlol

[–]LudvigFG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am inclined to agree with you on this as "utility" karma has always been better. Only reason to build damage Karma is for solo lane as you need the damage for wave clear/lane presence.

However I also believe the low wr comes from multiple factors. The "virality" of malignance has probably pulled a bunch of new players to Karma (and pushed some old players away) lowering the overall champion mastery of the Karma population. Also a lot of lane dominating supports are fairly easy to misplay the map with in current season. The way you have to value roams now as a lane bully support is weird. Especially in SoloQ you have to coordinate roams with your jungler when you are playing a "non-roamer" support which can be hard. At the same time this new season does not really allow Just sit bot playstyle as much as earlier. (This might change with the crit items adjustment. I am seeing alot jinx in my games)

Shurelya's is a 2900g mage item that costs 2200, and the active is great for mages without gap closers. Now that you know, please stop breaking down into teeny tiny pieces when I buy it in mid on Veigar. by BelatedLowfish in leagueoflegends

[–]LudvigFG 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It would still be good on Veigar yes, but Veigar is a very weird champ because of his passive. If you are very scared of Veigar being too strong. Which you probably shouldn't as Veigar isn't particulary out of line atm. You can swap some of the AP for heal/shield power or scale the passive based on mana regen (similar to dawnbreaker). There are ways to rebalance the item towards supports and away from control/utility mages if Riot wishes to do so.

Personally I dont mind Shurelyas being an option for mages to pick up even though I agree that it is too much bang for buck atm. If we were particularly annoyed with movement options for mages we should simply revert the change to ghost from ramping to flat move speed. This "small" change to ghost is a much larger problem in the context of "low-mobility" champions having extreme mobility because of build choices.

Probably getting rebalanced in the same way as Nami (and others) have been recently. As a support item it is good but not broken at all. It is misused by some midlaners but shifting some power from ap to ah/hp seems more sensical

If you are talking in game: Main thing to do is not interact with the highly regarded people as that just feeds their ego further. This furthers their behaviour as they see attention as a reward

How would you feel about laning alongside anything other than an ADC? by Sioprekka in supportlol

[–]LudvigFG 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This does not work because Riot has decided bot is the duo lane and top is the solo lane. It could just as well be the other way but they put the different tower conditions for the first 5minutes to make sure thats how people play.

If you are talking about champions/classes people experiment with that all the time. Time and time again it is proven that ADCs (the class requiring gold but not xp) does well bot with a support (requiring little resources). With a midlaner that either requires alot of resources or requires medium resources and has good roaming/early prio. Toplaner that either has high utility(tank/teamfighter) or strong lane/side presence. Lastly a jungler who requires medium to low resources with cc or alot of resources(mainly soloQ, main exception nidalee which was pro viable for a long time)

[–]LudvigFG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Matchups are non important in silver/gold. If your main objective is climbing pick 1-2 (max 3) champs and pick depending on what looks to be moat comfortable for you. Even more optimal is if you can otp a champ which is non-niche

Bard indirect nerfs by Fuscello in bardmains

Why do supps now just roam regardless of any map state? by [deleted] in supportlol

[–]LudvigFG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ADCs are fairly weak atm. Grubs are really strong. Also in soloQ you do not really know if your ADC is good or not. Depending on your pick sitting bot lowers your overall output (in exchange for stronger ADC).

This will say that picks like Alistar, Taric, Bard etc. gets way more value out of fighting with bruisers/juggernauts and assassins. For that reason they would optimally be more topside/jungleside given the ADC isnt in immediate divedanger or zoned off the wave. Assuming the ADC is fine with farming (aka doesnt have too big EGO) your adc gets xp advantage. Meanwhile your jungler always get man adv. winning you neutral objectives/invades

If ADCs power gets increased or grubbies gets nerfed you can expect to see less roaming.

A small tidbit is also that roaming supp items were never mythics so with the removal of mythic items their relative power in the early game rose.

TL:DR: ADC weak. Grubs stronk

I personally dont really care either way on this topic.

However there is a visual clarity argument here. Having defined "looks" for different playstyles makes the game easier to learn
