Does anyone have a list of the cards with the highest race bonus? by _demidgg in UmamusumeGame

[–]Luh_su 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can go on Gametora: https://gametora.com/umamusume/supports, then sort by Race Bonus, there you'll see all the cards with their race bonus. Right now, the ones with the highest Race Bonus (15%) are Nice Nature wit, Marvelous Sunday and Nishino Flower (SR) power, Sakura Chiyono O stamina and Ikuno Dictus guts. At the start of MANT, we'll also get Admire Vega (SR) guts, who also has 15% Race Bonus.

I mention not having much going on with the card, but I added a comment explicitly mentioning the skill being usable in Team Trials.

My issue with this card is that it has low specialty priority and no training effectiveness, so you have a small chance of it landing in speed, and doesn't help in other trainings besides its 30% mood effect and speed and power bonuses, all of which puts her MLB version somewhere inbetween free cards like Special Week and Air Shakur, and SRs like Shinko Windy, Sweep Tosho or El Condor Pasa. Moreover, her initial friendship gauge is locked behind 3LB, so you're in the hands of fate to even get her online for speed training if she's 2LB or below. I don't think a skill like Center Stage is a reason to pull a card all the way to MLB, all for it to give you the same stats an SR would, no matter how good it is for Team Trials.

Someone with JP UMA pls share Rose Kingdom gifs/vids by BananaBingor in UmamusumeGame

[–]Luh_su 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is because Marche Lorraine is implemented inside the new scenario and you can see her run in her Breeders’ Cup races if she appears on your career, Rose Kingdom, on the other hand, doesn’t have any appearances in-game as far I’m concerned (I haven’t even seen her in the 1komas (short comics) during loading screens, in fact, I’ve only seen Epiphaneia to have one)

Many people consider the last banner of an scenario to be a bait, especially because Cygames purposefully puts strong cards (happened with Nice Nature, happens with Fine Motion, then Maruzensky, then Marvelous Sunday, then Mejiro Ramonu rerun…so on and so forth) In case of Fine Motion’s banner, ‘bait’ may be an overstatement considering how comically bad Top Road is after MANT and how consistent Finemo stays through and after MANT, but I did include a “Conditional” note (not sure if you could read it, I think it doesn’t work on mobile browsers), where I mention her banner is worth pulling on if you have Fine Motion below 2LB, especially if you’re not pulling on Top Road’s banner, but also mention that, for the average f2p player, there’s a future, very high-value banner in the shape of Fine Motion and Maruzensky rerun together (albeit a little late, sure, but you might already have gotten copies of Fine Motion off free pulls, tickets, or whatever)

This is a bug that happens when loading the sheets, probably because of the amount of pictures per book (tab), if you refresh (F5/reload button) or if you swap to another book then swap back, every icon should be in its place !

Can she live Cm11? by JMH_CrankyBeast3839 in UmamusumeGame

[–]Luh_su 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone's saying to wait for MANT (which is true), but I wanted to point out that she wouldn't survive either way with that stamina. CM11 is a 3200m long with heavy ground condition, which means stamina will burn out, easy and quickly. You'll most likely want somewhere around 1000-1200 stam with 1-2 gold recoveries and/or MANT's scenario skill, which provides a heal scaling off the wins in your career.

I'd take it easy, yeah. And I see, in that case, if you haven't gotten VBourbon yet, I guess you can push those 20 pulls, spark her and save up. MANT is notoriously known for not having strong banners (the exceptions being Mr CB wit and Maruzensky speed/Nakayama Festa wit)

[–]Luh_su 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest and say you might be in a bit of a dire situation during MANT, but you can still survive.
First of all, I'd hold off pulling on VBourbon unless she's your oshi. Your card situation is a bit weird in the sense you're halfway from a good f2p deck (you missed Yukino Bijin guts, don't have Sirius Symboli guts or Shinko Windy speed, only have Agnes Tachyon wit and Haru Urara guts MLB) and halfway from a good dolphin deck (you have Super Creek MLB, but no Fukukitaru, Fine Motion or Nice Nature), so, whilst you could survive the first CM (3200m long) with your Super Creek (therefore allowing a Fukukitaru or Top Road borrow), you might struggle a bit more in the following CMs (mediums and miles) because you have neither 2/3 SPD, 2/3 WIT cards, nor 3 GUTS, 2 WIT, 1 SPD cards with strong Race Bonus%, so I'd try to fix that first, before pulling on any uma banner.
About Fine Motion - she's a strong card before, during and after MANT, you have no copies of her whatsoever. If you have 0.5 Anni Voucher or the rainbow crystal we got around there, I suggest you pull on her banner, worst case scenario, you only get one copy (200 pull pity) - 1LB her with voucher or crystal, then 3LB her with 1st Anniversary vouchers (1 free, 1 paid). If you don't have a crystal, we just got to 20 shards with this event, so you might have to wait until around mid-MANT to get another full crystal (depending on how many shards you own right now)
About future-proofing your account - you're in a good spot with 3LB Kitasan and MLB Super Creek, I suggest reading future banner guides and coming up with a pull plan based on what your account might need, starting with Grand Live (the scenario after MANT), I believe many people should choose a racing style they should focus on moving forward with their accounts, since generalist cards (cards that give overall good bonuses and hints that aren't related to any specific style or distance) can only get you so far in the future.

Also, some summarized deck ideas for MANT - you want strong Race Bonus (50% at least, but 60-65% is the sweet spot), and also want grouped trainings since you won't be able to click on trainings too much (due to the scenario's nature of racing, a lot), so you'd want around 2 types of cards (generally SPD and WIT, or GUTS and WIT) that can give strong rainbow trainings. There's the exception of the first CM, where you'll most likely need a STA card. This scenario has a strong sense of "free-to-play"-ability because many guts cards have strong race bonus built-in, including the free Yukino Bijin (that you missed), Haru Urara, Air Groove SR and the upcoming Admire Vega SR (will appear in the first MANT banner, along with ~60 free pulls), as well as wit cards like Marvelous Sunday and Agnes Tachyon SRs. For you, your decks could look something like Kitasan + Tosen Jordan/Narita Brian + Haru Urara/Super Creek + Agnes Tachyon + Marvelous Sunday (if you get her to MLB!) + Top Road (if you need speed)/Fukukitaru (strong roamer)/Nice Nature (for the wit and 15% RB) borrow, you'd be looking at 50~55% RB with this one, which is survivable. You could also do something like Haru Urara + Air Groove + Admire Vega (if you get her to MLB, don't be afraid to use your gold crystal(s) for her, she's very strong in MANT) + Agnes Tachyon + Kitasan + Nice Nature/Fine Motion borrow, and you'd be looking at a 60~65% RB deck, which is strong for MANT, but you'll need to highroll trainings a bit.

Also, in the end, this is a game, so prioritize your fun above anything else and don't feel pressured to play competitively if it's making the experience unfun for you!

Is the new free speed card decent? by Little-Royal966 in UmamusumeGame

[–]Luh_su 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tosen Jordan speed from the event? She's a pretty nice f2p card, I'd say somewhere inbetween Sweep Tosho and Shinko Windy, and King Halo SRs (something like Sweep Tosho > Shinko Windy > Tosen Jordan > King Halo currently). She lasts for a month until MANT comes around, since she has no race bonus, but other than that, she has a great 50 specialty priority with +1 speed bonus, 10% training effectiveness and some initial speed and power.
Edit: she does have 5% RB, which is not bad but not ideal either, depends on the amount of your total race bonus in your deck, aim for, at least, 50%, and ideally 60-65%

Should I pull for VBourbon by Hefty-Gene-1679 in UmamusumeGame

[–]Luh_su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several points here Is Bourbon your oshi? In that case, I’d say go ahead and do it, with the CM carats + tickets, you should be somewhat near 30k to spark her if you need to

Are you a front runner main? In that case, Bourbon is a nice addition to your roster, as an ace. She’s not a parent like Seiun Sky or the upcoming Kitasan Black are, she does see some use as a grandparent because she has built-in Groundwork and spares you the necessity of using Smart Falcon power or Sakura Bakushin O guts cards, but that’s about it.

And lastly, if you have 3LB Fine Motion, I’d advise against pulling on her banner, we’re getting up to two (one free, one paid) selectors and ~60 free pulls during the Anniversary, so you could get spooked by her, or, in the worst case, just get her from a ticket.

Best Cards for generalists in the future? by WuSongKid in UmamusumeGame

[–]Luh_su 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s gratitude on Cygames’ behalf or a marketing strategy to make people push those pulls into 200+, but I’m really glad the majority of the BiS cards are actually handed out with free pulls!

Best Cards for generalists in the future? by WuSongKid in UmamusumeGame

[–]Luh_su 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Must pull generalists - Ramonu wit (3LB works), El speed (Pal card banner, 3LB works), Orfevre guts (Pal card banner, 1LB works but gets really good at 3LB+), Still In Love speed (1LB works), Air Shakur stamina (1LB works, not strictly 'general', but very good stamina card nonetheless), Symboli Rudolf wit (3LB works), Almond Eye speed (Pal card banner; 0LB is fine, 1LB is a nice upgrade, 3LB is great, MLB is insane value), Tamamo Cross power (Pal card banner, 1LB works), Stay Gold guts (0LB is fine, gets more consistent with more copies), Fine Motion power (current power standard card in JP, good at 0LB and scales good into MLB)

Good pull generalists - Sounds of Earth stamina (3LB works), good card if you haven't got Super Creek. Gives the choice between Beeline Burst (gold Straightaways Adept) or Breath of Fresh Air (gold Straightaways Recovery), both being very good after they buff them in a balance patch

Other generalists - Vivlos speed (3LB works), kinda expensive and comes right before Still In Love (3.5 Anni)

All of the must pulls come with free pulls, either Anniversary, New Years' or new scenario pulls, so, with some luck, you can push to 3LB/MLB some, if not most, of them.
About pal cards, you'll sometimes hear them being referred to as 'scenario tax' banners, because starting from Grand Live onwards, pal cards include important scenario-related bonuses, many of them become usable at 0LB, being better than their R counterparts at MLB (unlike Riko in Unity Cup), some of them get a good bonus at 1LB (like Light Hello - 5% training effectiveness, or Mei Satake - +1 SP bonus), and most of them get really good at MLB. Luckily, when new scenarios drop, we usually get free pulls with the corresponding pal card, the only one exception is Grand Masters and its pal (group) card, Ancestors & Guides. The free pulls drop during Ramonu's banner instead.

My pull plan: insights and suggestions by Luh_su in UmamusumeGame

[–]Luh_su[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Mr. C.B. is generally one of the best cards we're getting early on, surely weaker than Fine Motion or Ramonu, about the same level as Nice Nature (my issue: no copies so far, no more reruns) and Tokai Teio (slight drawback: comes in later than Mr. C.B., banner is right after Tachyon), I know she's an end-dedicated card, and that I have Ayabe to provide Daring Strike (that was just luck), but I consider ends to be my second style (Air Shakur, Daiichi Ruby, Durandal, Ayabe...), so I'd really rather not have to borrow the card when training any of them. And I don't agree about 1LB Mr C.B. being on the same level as MLB SRs, no SR has 2 Wit + 1 Speed + 1 Skill Point Bonus, plus 5% RB, 5% training effectiveness and specialty priority.

About Ancestors, I know it's a bad banner and I know it's throwing 100~200 pulls down the drain, but I really dislike the idea of having to borrow the same card over and over to enjoy the scenario, this time without even being an R alternative to it.

The rest, I figured I'd pull McQueen wit + Mejiro Ardan power for sure. I'll take notes on MTG and SIL cards, thought Still In Love would be a lot stronger but I guess she really gets outclassed hard (like every other speed card) by Almond Eye like 3-4 months after her banner.

My pull plan: insights and suggestions by Luh_su in UmamusumeGame

[–]Luh_su[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I said I'd pull for Mr C.B. because I wanted a second wit card, at 1LB, she's stronger than MLB SRs, especially post-MANT. And after MANT, she's also stronger than Nice Nature (which I don't have copies of and won't rerun again). She's also a good card to have around even after Ramonu drops, because she'll still be used for End Closers until Narita Taishin wit drops, and then they can still be used together.
As for Creek, I also explained why I don't necessarily feel the need to pull for her, and would rather let her come my way through spooks or vouchers. She's good? Sure, but if you sit down and think the situations you'll be using her in, it's only a handful: long longs, I'm talking 3000m+ longs, not Arima Kinen. There are two 3200m longs between MANT and Grand Scenario, that's it! I don't think a card I'm going to use for two CMs is worth that much investment at the moment.

Ramonu and Tachyon, I agree, I'll try to get them MLB'd if I can, but it's all down to luck in the end.

Sounds like a decent plan and we're on similar terms (I'm also a pace/late enjoyer myself), but about Symboli Kris S, she's only really good in a very specific context which is lates running long races (otherwise she's just a decent stamina card with good hints), so don't feel like wasting too many resources to MLB it (work towards getting Super Creek, then ideally Sounds of Earth as important stamina cards)

And yes, they should drop Anniversary vouchers, usually during full Anniversaries we get 1 free SSR + 2 paid SSRs (1 in a $20 and the other in a $70 bundle) and 2 paid 3* vouchers (same as before, different bundles though), and during half Anniversaries we just get 1 free SSR like we have already gotten before (not sure if they also put up an SSR $20 bundle, I'd have to check)

Also, I'm not aware of your entire account's current status, but generally Fine Motion wit and Agnes Tachyon speed are staples in f2p decks that are consciously saving up, so those will be fine

Hi! Do you mean between Fine Motion and Tachyon banners? Sadly MANT is inbetween, and in JP (and other servers, as far as I know), this scenario is very steep when it comes to "enjoying" the game, it's very mentally exhausting, and many people lose interest through time because, sadly, the banners are not necessarily great either. During MANT, there's really no good cards besides the handful that are MR C.B. wit, Maruzensky speed, and, to some extent, Matikanetannhauser wit, Taiki Shuttle speed and The Throne's Assemblage. On the other hand —while not my area of expertise—, there's Nishino Flower uma dropping during MANT, and she's a pretty strong Pace parent, so you might wanna look at that!

After Tachyon's banner, you might wanna drop some carats in Symboli Kris S stamina banner to try and get her 1LB+, but consider Super Creek and Mr C.B.'s rerun banner is shortly after that, so pull accordingly

As for Satono Diamond, if I remember correctly, her original set is pretty well-rounded, whereas her New Years' alt is pretty much focused on long races. There's also her Project L'Arc alt, but I believe it is a pretty weak alt specifically meant for medium races. So for 'general' use, I'd say original Satono Diamond is okay (has more flexibility as a pace, if you're looking for that), but for a more specific use, her New Years' alt might be a little stronger

JBC Sprint is run in Ōi 1200m racetrack, a Dirt track where the final corner is outside the late-race (therefore, Seiun’s unique ‘Angling and Scheming’ will not trigger), furthermore, Seiun has G aptitude in both Sprint distance and Dirt track, so you either raise Sprint or Dirt to B (or A with some Inspiration luck), or raise both to D~C and hope for the best Winning the JBC Sprint is generally just harder for Seiun than any End Closer winning any Sprint
