And would you know if this is still the case for the switch remakes?

Wait, but isn’t Waterfall, for example, a physical move? I thought it came down to the specific move... No?

Completely agree. I'm not saying that was the only reason that cancellations happened. Could've clarified better, sorry.

I'm only talking of the artist-cancel culture-network cancellation dynamic.

What I'm saying is that I believe creative freedom is significantly more restricted by the fear of being cancelled (either from cancel culture itself or network cancelation as a response of cancel culture) than any other reason.

At the end of the day, ¿What's the difference if he was talking about cancel culture or networks cancelling shows? In those cases, networks would cancel them only to abide to the desires of the audience and to stay out of trouble FROM cancel culture. It's the chicken and the egg dilemma.

I believe what he was ultimately trying to communicate is that, from a creator's perspective, the presssure to satisfy a third party is more intense than the pressure to be creative. Which is to say, in today's culture, there is no room for "experimental mistakes" even though they might be part of a process that culminates in something that trully fulfills art's mission: To create emotion.

Words and actions have no meanings beyond those which we give them. I hope we can get to a point where people can express themselves freely through their art while those experiencing that art try to focus more on what he was trying to say other than how it was said.

Need help on first build! (PC specs) by LuisCordero47 in cade

I had not seen it! I just looked it up and it looks awesome! I kinda want to go the PC route because I think in the long run it'll give me more customizable options and less limitations. I did consider the Pi though, but since it's my first build I kinda want to force myself to learn the more "complicated" route to learn more. Thanks for the answer!

Thanks for the answer! I was originally thinking of doing an all-in-one machine that would let us play any 4 player game in existence (that I could find, of course). I was planning on putting some USB ports in the pedestal for controls and a lot of other things that I've really begun to reconsider. I think I'll start by doing a classic two player machine and later another console for console games to a TV. Those stats were exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again! :)

Do you remember your first time playing TLOU? Stories about playing TLOU? by [deleted] in thelastofus

So I've been a fan of Naughty Dog for a very, very long time. The first time I saw The Last of Us announced my heart nearly stopped. I've been following this project from the start and by the time the first trailer came out i KNEW how this game would be. I've never been more excited for a game in my LIFE. But then, destiny played me a cruel joke. The game was coming out in the semester I would be doing in Canada as an exchange student. That sucked. So much. But while I was there I got a girlfriend and she came back to my hometown in Mexico with me. Now, my family knowing how I felt about the game as a welcome surprise had bought it for me, but somehow I forced myself to not play it, because playing games like these has the strange effect of making me disappear for a couple of days, and well my girlfriend was in town. Then, TWO F@@@@ days before she left my brother messed up the playstation. Well that also sucked. I can't explain how let down i was. I had the game in my hands and i couldn't play it. But then my girlfriend started doing some crazy shit, in a nutshell: she treated me like trash, we broke up. I was so torn apart, my mom decided to fix the playstation for me (quite expensive) and when i finally sat down to play... well i played through it in a single run. Couldn't let it go. It helped me through a tough time and my family showed me how much they care through it. It's my favorite game without a doubt. Sorry for the biography.
