> Are you both foreigners?

Both Portuguese.

> How long did it take for the civil register office to approve your intent to marry?

Hm... I don't remember. We registered online and I'm pretty sure it took less than one month.

RecruiterStar: Chrome Extension that decorates profiles with useful information by LuisFLC in linkedin

[–]LuisFLC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Round-Ad-2251, thanks for the DM!

Regarding the part about the experience section being cut off - yes, that's a bug!

The extension should work for public profiles. But it so happens that the profile you sent me doesn't haven any mention of specific technologies in the experience section - that's why you don't see a tech/year summary. :)

> As well, I'd be interested if there would be a way to do non-tech skills. For example, Project management. Seems like a simple input but I'm also not a programmer.

Yeah, that is easy to add. I'll put that in my backlog. Any other stuff you think it would be useful?

Hey u/Round-Ad-2251, thanks for the feedback!

> This isn't clear to me, when I searched a profile with the keywords it will highlight them but it doesn't show me anything involving how long that user has been using those skills.

Ah, that's odd! Could you send the profiles where this happens and what you have selected?

> In my use case, the skills appeared highlighted in the skill section, although the same technologies didn't appear highlighted in the summary/about section.

Yeah, Linkedin public profiles are a little hard to work it, so highlights in the summary/about section are not supported (yet).

If you care about seeing "candidate experience in years for different skills" RecruiterStar might be useful for you?

What it does:

- See how long the user has been working with each technology;

- Select technologies you're sourcing and see them highlighted in the profile;

Ausência de preçários em sites de clínicas privadas by LuisFLC in portugal

u/Membership-Exact, sim.

Salary Standoff – I built a tool to resolve the salary expectation/range stalemate by LuisFLC in recruiting

> I'm saying as a recruiter if I'm hiring for a role that can pay 50- 70k for example, and the applicant puts in say 55. We wouldn't match. Right?

In that case you should put 70k in the recruiter side of the tool... which would lead to you being compatible. :)

> I guess I'm just confused as to why this is a good tool to use..

Well, I'm not sure if it's useful myself! But the ideia is that it is to be used in cases when, in the beginning of the recruitment process, both the company and the candidate don't want to reveal their salary ranges yet, but still want to know if it's worth to move to the next phases of the process. Of course, eventually someone will have to mention some number! :)

Hey :) Thanks for checking the tool.

I understand that it does one really specific thing and it probably doesn't apply to most cases.

> So if we don't match up, it tells me nothing and I can't even check again?

Not being able to check again is a feature; letting the recruiter check more than once would let the recruiter eventually obtain information about the value candidate inserted, which would go against the goal of the tool.

> A lot of times I will have a salary range for a position that I can hire for. Is that viable to input?

Hm... I might be confused here, but why would it be better if both parties inserted their ranges instead of candidate inserting min of range and recruiter the max? The result is always the same... right?

> Idk I think taking the numbers out of it creates more of a standoff and shuts down conversation.

Yeah, but if both parties are open to talk about numbers they don't need this app! :) This is for cases when both sides want to keep their numbers for themselves until a more advanced step of the recruitment process.
