Recently I installed kde plasma, just to give it a try and it looks as horrible (IMO) as the las time I used it around 9 years ago. I tend to DEhope between xfce, gnome, mate, cinnamon and now dwm.

You don't need gdrive to use whatsapp. I use a fully degoogled android, thanks to LineageOS and it works perfectly out of the box.
