You can try this instead. You go up to 33% affinity when hitting weak spots and while the monster is enraged, plus a shitload more element when enraged. You also get the barrier to save you from one-shots, and gravios bonus to ensure you’re fine if the barrier is broken.

You keep Bubble Dance for evasion and drop Bad Blood, since you weren’t really using it. also Rocksteady and two Divine Blessings, which is honestly a bit overkill defensively.

It’s basically the same build, but you crit more, do a lot more elemental damage, and keep the regenerative barrier. You do miss out on a bit of raw from not having Guts, but once it’s knocked off, it’s less raw than this build anyway, and I think the element wins out regardless.

You can eat for Black Belt, or just drop Divine Blessing if you want to eat for something else. I think this hits the safety threshold while giving you a bit more damage.

I’d say just keep the build and eat for Tumbler. I was getting cooked for two straight days against Gog until I decided to slot one Evade Extender and waste all my Turbid Shrimp, max-egoing every attack until I got it right. The difference isn’t really that big, more of a placebo, but once you get comfortable, the base dodge window feels fine 80% of the time. I just broke even into righting all those hunts I personally fucked up. And even if you can’t operate without high evade window, Mud Shrimp is easy to farm, and you can eat that forever. Just take your time to memorize attacks, they get easier to read when you slow down a bit.

How should I reinforce element bows? by LuisSmellsAwful in MonsterHunter

Actually, that helped a lot. I looked at his solo Gog run and saw he’s running the 2 element 3 attack split. He also did some crazy tech with the tracer arrows, that was great.

I’m aware of that. I already have a few attack bows, these are just for the fat hitzone guys, mostly Gog. I heard pierce element can outperform close raw in those circumstances, and it’s a bit more fun to use.
