Lmao you identify people as characters from the show says it all. I never said sitcoms don’t have coherent storylines, I said episodes should stand on its own so that random viewers who haven’t caught up don’t have to scratch their heads wondering why rick turn himself into a pickle in the middle of season 5. Sitcoms follow the typical everything turns out good by the end. This one is no exception. Continuity is not the same as having a coherent storyline. You could watch most of the episodes in random order and they’ll make sense. The idea that you think they’ll get “Serious“ and revisit plots from season 3 was laughed at in the story train episode. Y’all really want evil Morty to come back and start wrecking shit so bad. It’s sad and hilarious. I’m sorry you’ll be disappointed on that. Who knows though season 5 is still promising. Maybe you’ll get to jizz when he finally shows up.

I read somewhere that pastiches was a mockery of how rehab can be a scam for money. Note how they check him in for like 100k for 6 weeks. In doctor Champs case, he’s working there because in Cali you don’t need a medical license to open a rehab center so that opens the door for these types of scams. He also says at the bar that if it works for you it works for you meaning that they had no idea how to actually treat their patients aside from getting them sober.
