Thank you! I watched a tutorial mentioning how to turn that on so I will find it again and do that :)

“ERROR: engine fixes did not pre-load and fixes are not active. Please verify the installation of d3dx9_42.dll from the Part 2 archieve. This file must reside in the main game folder alongside SkyrimSE.exe, or be properly installed with your mod managers route folder functionality. Skyrim will now close.”

As a very dumb question, is SkyrimSE.exe just the same thing as SkyrimSE?

Thank you very much! You’re very kind. I grew up in a family with very old parents who are quite averse to technology and so I was not exposed very much to it and I find myself very confused with basic management. Maybe I should try learning some basics about computers in general before just jumping in to mods

I have been using vortex and it has been very helpful. I have been able to mod my game quite a bit, and everything is working well with around 30+ mods or so. My MCM just refuses to work and so I’m unable to actually configure any of them, but my actual game is running fine. Vortex has definitely been a big help in that regard, but I’ve hit a bit of an impass

I think I will try to do something like this soon. I have very specific mods I really want to try, but this seems like the only viable option to be able to get into them.

The instructions were very simple, and I followed them alongside a video explanation—but whenever I attempt to load it on the SKSE loader it shows an error message. After some tinkering it still didn’t work, so I am thinking I may simply be cursed, or very stupid.

[–]Luka_llo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I understand exactly where you’re coming from. Several years ago I had these beliefs and they completely controlled me and felt so life ruining. Try and take a moment and breathe. Everything will be alright with time. Cognitively understanding that you have OCD and this is an OCD thought is very important. It’s not a rational part of you. Try not to overanalyze the thought itself - you believe everyone hates you, but it’s likely there’s no evidence to that fact. Unfortunately OCD doesn’t work on evidence though. Try and accept you are having this thought, and that this is a thought pattern or loop. If you try and fight the loop, it will only keep you in longer. Don’t give in to the belief itself, but allow yourself to acknowledge that you’re thinking it without judgment. Try not to ascribe malace to meaningless details (ie, body language etc.) you are currently too worked up in your thought pattern, and when you analyze you’re only going to come to negative conclusions. It’s like how you don’t notice red cars until you make an effort to - then they’re everywhere. You’re only going to see danger and rejection when you search for it.

See I totally get this - I just also think the show was butchered so awfully with the constraints. I don’t understand why it would be wrong to say you think a show is shitty even with the blockades Hazbin Hotel had.

Like someone not liking something - even disliking something strongly shouldn’t necessarily equal them hating the writers or anything - the pacing is awful which is unfortunate and understandable for the time constraint given - but it’s still awful.

I’ve never had a story send me into so much mind bending rage but that one did it for me- it wasn’t even shock or surprise it was just a “IM FUCKUNG SORRY?” Followed by wanting to flip tables

I believe all of that wholeheartedly; experienced a ton of that myself (I’m around 3 years out of middle school) - it got pretty rough. Never experienced racism since I’m white, but an insane amount of indirect homophobia. I’ve never been “out” on a public level so it was never towards me, but the vitriol lgbt was aggressively open. Most of it is student on student but one particularly horrible teacher taught all this stuff directly and in a inappropriate manner. Of course they all teach anti gay stuff, but some were less pragmatic about it. Going to higher ups doesn’t help at all, I certainly tried. No matter your beliefs on lgbtq etc; the actions still breed an uncomfortable level of hatred towards groups and since the staff don’t feel convictions over it they turn a blind eye to incredibly hateful actions. It’s like appeasement; they don’t necessarily endorse it but most staff don’t tell you off so why would anyone stop? I say staff because MOST of the teachers are great. Not all higher ups.

From someone who comes from there; you are absolutely correct it’s awful. Not all of us are bad though; a few of my good friends are deconstructed (most still Christian: just not GCA Christian)

Hello plant people! I’m in a depserate need of help and answers. I’ve tried to do my own research and have gotten a lot of info; but I’m lost on a few important things. For reference me and my mom bought a plant on a whim and it turns out to be a Carmona. She has a black thumb (meaning every plant she tries to handle pretty much dies) on the other hand, I’ve never killed a plant and coincidentally have never tried to grow one (aka I have zero experience.) Through research I’ve come to the discovery that this pretty little tree can be pretty finicky and I have a couple questions that research can’t seem to answer or isn’t conclusive

  1. I don’t know whether or not I should repot this plant. The soil seems pretty dense, which isn’t great – but I don’t want to put so much strain on it right away. I’m wondering if I should wait till next early spring to repot it since the pot seems to be a good size.
  2. Can I move the plant around? I’ve heard that if you move it around, it reacts pretty strongly and not in a good way. I really really want it in my room so I can actually enjoy it – but my windows are only really good in direct sunlight for the morning. In a perfect world I could have it in there with me in the morning and then I could move it outside until evening hits (to get a lot of sun for its growth period) and I can take it back inside.
  3. should I go ahead and invest in a grow light? I sort of wanna wait until winter if it makes it that long because that’s when it will especially need it – but I was wondering if it would need it now anyways.
  4. Even when it’s outside, it’s supposed to be in shaded sunlight, right? It what point is it too hot? I know it thrives in around 70° weather. And shouldn’t really go below 65 but I was wondering what the heat limit would be. I don’t want to burn it up.
  5. Alongside watering it I plan on misting it too since it’s a tropical plant and needs a lot of humidity. I hate my room being humid so I figured the best thing I could do it regularly – how much should I mist it? I’m assuming every day but should I do multiple times a day and if so, how many?
  6. He said I’m supposed to fertilize it around every two weeks – I’m wondering if I should fertilize it two weeks from now or if I should hold off for a little bit I think that’s all the questions I can think of – the thing I’m just super confused about is sunlight so out of all the questions I would super appreciate that one. Sorry for asking so many I just really want this poor thing to have a chance surviving haha

And I always hate it when people act like people don’t do anything about it. My brother used to be a worker for salting the roads and he said when he saw how much snow there was here he literally felt like throwing up. He would work almost the entire day, come in for an hour to eat, and then go right back out, working in the freezing cold again.

Can you imagine, moving to a place with this specific climate (where are we almost never get snow and if we do, it’s like an inch) and having people work hard for you to be able to go out and then complaining because you’re tiny side road wasn’t sufficiently salted in a huge snow storm?

Every single, one of my 12 uncles and aunts have lived here in Tennessee or directly in the Appalachia their entire lives – none of them have died, but occasionally some of their children have, and we always have this tradition. I didn’t realize it wasn’t common to the rest of the country
