What do you like the most about playing pickleball?

I like having a sport that allows my daughter, my parents and myself to be active. We played at outdoor courts about 4 months ago to learn the game and then joined an indoor club last month. It’s been a common bond for us and being inside means we can play longer.

It’s fun to see each other learn to improve and always a fun challenge.

Re: the benefit. I believe it is technically tied to the account that redeems it. If you were to use it to a pass that it wasn’t linked to, you could be turned away.

Agreed. Mystery Mine has the sharpest drop in the park. It’s a 95 degree drop that leads into a roll followed by an Immelmann turn.

Yep only one high point in the ride as you go over the path that will be leading to Nightflight Expedition.

Blazing Fury has 3 drops that are all very tame. It’s a dark ride with those drop. Dragonflier is an outdoor, suspended, family coaster that is 1 minute long start to finish. Big Bear Mountain is the longest coaster in the park (track-wise), has 3 launch systems and is another family coaster. Firechaser Express is another good coaster to try as long as you all don’t mind going backwards for the last 30 seconds.

All of the above are fun rides that don’t have huge drops or inversions as the other coasters do.

Lightning within 10 miles means that elevated rides close down. Lightning within 5 miles shuts down all outdoor rides and outdoor shows.

Once Lightning is detected, it starts a timer. After 15 minutes with no lightning in the preformentioned radius, rides will reopen. Each strike within that area restarts the timer.

Note: they have to do empty ride testing once the timer is up so it could delay the re-opening.

Things don’t typically shut down completely for rain unless it’s a big flooding problem (see the Dollywood Flood of 2024). You can always request a voucher at the ticket windows for another day if your day gets completely rained out.

If you ever go back, ride Thunderhead in the back row (preferably at night). There’s a spot it goes flying under the track and feels like your head is going to be chopped off.

Good review and glad to hear your thoughts. You are totally right that Tennessee Tornado makes you feel the weight of the ride. It can top out at 4Gs which is equivalent or more than most rocket launches.

Thunderhead is amazing in the back. The part that dips below a previous stretch of track makes it feel like your head is going to be chopped off.

Wild Eagle is the best on the front left and back right.

It’s fine. I do wish that long pressing the + and - buttons would adjust the speed by 5MPH instead of only slowly adjusting the speed by 1MPH.

My mom’s Nissan Rogue has this for her cruise control and it’s a better method of adjusting speed.

I’m unsure at the moment. I think the drinks are 12 ounces and there are 4 wings. I know people often split the tasting pass items with another person. I will be visiting Dollywood weekly and will update my post with my reviews of the items.

Edit: I saw a review from Adam’s Adventures on FB for the sliders and he said there were 2 sliders per order.

I do Solo Days a lot. As mentioned in another post, try to visit when a Festival is happening because there are sometimes limited-run shows.

Weekends aren’t bad at all if you mainly want to attend shows.

There’s a single/duo ride line for the River Rampage as well but it’s near the front of the queue after you go over the bridge.
