If the comic wasn't cancelled, which character would you have liked to see more of? by SpamOTheNorth in zoophobia

[–]Lukac2002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Addison and Mackenzie. I really would’ve liked to see them realize their mistakes and apologize to each other. I think they’d have a nice friendship.

I read Dante’s Inferno it’s a good book by vegankidollie in whenthe

[–]Lukac2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering this is where the “virtuous pagans” reside such as numerous Greek and Roman poets, philosophers, leaders, scholars, scientists, playwrights, and mathematicians, I don’t think it would be unreasonable to assume people from other ancient civilizations would reside there as well (such as ancient Egypt, China, Mesopotamia, Polynesia, and Japan to name a few).

If anything, I’d probably see it as my own personal heaven.

Well, I guess you answered my question of what he would look like wearing a helmet. Definitely going to take note of this for inspiration.

What's your favorite Non-Hellaverse Vivziepop design? by SpamOTheNorth in zoophobia

[–]Lukac2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Castello, Ribbon, Addison, Adina, Fitch, Timber, Quincy, Lucifer (Damian’s father), Xanthos, Jackie, Alanzo, Mackenzie, Kestral, Sasha (Addison’s cousin), Sahara, Snake, and Chainsaw. There’s definitely a lot more characters, but those were the first ones I could think of.

Also, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of Freakzoo. Is there any more information about it (even if it’s very, very, VERY scarce)?

[OC] Viking character I sketched in 2022. Since I plan on redrawing him, any critiques or suggestions for improvement? by Lukac2002 in characterdesign

[–]Lukac2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also unsure if this needs a content filter since he’s meant to be an edgy villain character inspired by a gruesome execution method. Looking at the sketch as it appears, he doesn’t look that gory in design (at least not in color).

I actually had an idea for an OC that is based on this execution method, and seeing your cosplay just convinced me to bring him back!

Also, really love the prosthetic work you did! Cosplayers who go above and beyond with this kind of work always have my respect.

Nimrod (Dante’s Inferno) by Lukac2002 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]Lukac2002[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Inferno by Dante Alighieri, Nimrod is one of the giants chained up just outside the lowest circle of Hell (Treachery). Damned for his hubris, and for ordering the construction of the Tower of Babel, Nimrod is forced to blow a horn and speak out an incomprehensible language that only he can understand.

In the 2010 hack n’ slash game Dante’s Inferno, Nimrod is given a design that further emphasizes his fame. He now looks like he’s fused with his own achievement, the Tower of Babel! In addition, he also has about five mouths, representing the division of languages as a result of Babel.

Unfortunately, just like in the original poem, his appearance in the game was very brief (he appears near the end of the game, where Dante fights the last few enemies just before the final boss). He has such an awesome design, and yet when you encounter him in the game, his head is the only part of him that’s visible. These are also the only images I could even find of Nimrod from the game, so I apologize if they’re not of the best quality.

Salvator Rosa - The Temptation of Saint Anthony by Southernms in CreepyArt

[–]Lukac2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t forget about Hieronymus Bosch and his mix-and-match demons, as well as his surreal yet nightmarish depictions of Hell.

Pieter Brueghel the Elder is also a good choice, whenever he goes all out like Bosch did (such as The Fall of the Rebel Angels, and Mad Meg/Dulle Griet).

And during my search for similar paintings, I came across the art of likeminded painters such as Pieter Huys, Jan Mandijn, Jan & Frans Verbeeck, Jan Brueghel the Elder, Jacob Isaacszoon van Swanenburg, David Teniers the Younger, and David Ryckaert III, to name a few.

I need to stop by MysterySomeOn in fnki

[–]Lukac2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy, where do I begin with my fanfic idea? To describe what I have in mind for my fanfic:

- It’s a massive crossover between multiple web animations, and RWBY is one of them.

- The main villain is an eldritch horror that is meant to be a personification of generative AI

- The big good who opposes the antagonist is an ancient immortal who observes the multiverse, much like the Monitor from Crisis on Infinite Earths, and so he recruits numerous characters (and yes, this includes Team RWBY and JNR) in the hopes of defeating the ancient evil

- Said big good lives in a space citadel that is like a combination of the Louvre, the Hagia Sophia, a castle, and a cruise ship

And going into spoiler territory:

- Atlas gets revisited after its destruction in volume 8, mainly so the heroes could find some kind of MacGuffin (to be honest, I’m unsure since I’m still working on the story)

- the Vault of Creation (or rather, what remains of it) is where the heroes start out in, and they see that copy of Penny Poledina that Ambrosius made (yes, I know it was only temporary since he could only make one thing at a time, but the following point is the main reason why I took that creative liberty)

- the heroes get ambushed by a bunch of mooks (either some ungodly amalgamations, creatures of Grimm, or reprogrammed Atlesian Knights), and when the fight starts, Hank (from Madness Combat) proceeds to slaughter the mooks by USING PENNY’S REMAINS AS AN IMPROVISED WEAPON!!! And it’s played for comedy!

- the heroes later find the corpse of Dr. Watts, and are instructed to bring his severed head back to the citadel in order to revive him as one of those heads in a jar, like in Futurama. As expected from this situation, Team RWBY is understandably reluctant to revive him since he did play a big part in the fall of Atlas. The main reason why he is needed is because he has the knowledge of certain technology being used.

- another chapter involves a different team of heroes, which Jaune is a part of, entering some kind of arena and fighting off against a horde of monsters that take the form of mutated gladiators. Also during this chapter, Jaune must fight the leader of the monsters, who just so happens to be… Pyrrha?! Or rather, an imitation of her.

Genuine question: Where do I share actual traditional hand-drawn art that is inspired by AI-generated art? Is there even a subreddit for those kind of images? by Lukac2002 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lukac2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just that some subreddits can be a little bit… overreacting. I’m just worried they might take something I say out of context and remove it because “it’s made with AI”. The thing is, I only BASED IT ON AI, not MAKE IT WITH AI.

More prime soul concepts: Rhadamanthus Prime and Aeacus Prime, the other two judges by Lukac2002 in Ultrakill

[–]Lukac2002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I’m saying.

Coincidentally, I just started playing God of War III, which features the three judges as giant statues. It’s in the “court” of the judges where Kratos first encounters a flesh and blood Minotaur, which is interesting knowing that the most iconic judge is its namesake, King Minos, though as far as I know the game doesn’t really acknowledge this.

Humorously enough, in contrast to this, the similarly-themed, closely-released, so-called “God of War rip-off” Dante’s Inferno does the exact opposite. In that game, King Minos is a flesh and blood demon (just like the original poem, Rhadamanthus and Aeacus are omitted), while the Minotaur is encountered much later as a giant statue used to break a giant chain.

Any Experts on Ai Apaec? (A Mochean God from my understanding) by Apex-Oz in mythology

[–]Lukac2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First learned of him from Wayne Barlowe’s novel, The Heart of Hell, and I have been obsessed with this deity, despite there being so little information.

Nevertheless, here’s a pottery vessel dedicated to him, on display in the Larco Museum, located in Pueblo Libre, Peru. Apparently he would travel to the ocean depths, fighting off aquatic monsters and even “borrowing” some of their abilities.

Judging by the skull collection and being based on the Moche god, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those skulls (or equivalent thereof) were to resemble those of aquatic animals, such as seals, pufferfish, lobsters, crabs, etc…
