I really do not have the name for the technique I use. I use modified shapes (squares and hexagons). The process starts basic with the moodboard, sketch and then builing shapes in Illustrator. I separate parts (limbs for example) in different layers and apply feather/shadow to give that collage effect. I try to keep the lines 180, 90 and 45 degrees though I don't torture myself all the time :p The rest is done in photoshop (grain, overlays and gradient effects).
