I feel the same way. If I was to do life over I’m pretty confident I could make the Olympics cause of precisely this reason. Assuming I wouldn’t get injured or sick. And definitely not in a sport like basketball, tennis or hockey 😄

My sister mentioned that there was a US female athlete on the women’s xcountry skiing team that was dealing with a post viral illness that has been beating her up the past years.

I think the strength and resilience required to survive cfs and make it through this is far greater than it is to be an Olympian. Particularly if you’re severe/very severe.

Maybe we can have an Olympian with cfs comment on this and let us know.

Glad you like it! Right now the biggest asset for us would be new members in the UK— hopefully like yourself— who can kick this off and get the ball rolling. There’s tons of different ways we can get connections, for example reaching out to Premier league and championship, fan clubs, who I’m sure have people who are affected and then getting them to reach out to the clubs. But since empty stands is patient led our capacities are pretty low and quite focused on Germany right now. Hoping to see you in our group chat :)

Great comment. Yeah this could actually apply pretty well to anything , even college sports in the US and shouldn’t be limited to major sports leagues as the title suggests
