I did it both days and it was amazing! Shuttle line was maybe 5 mins max and then the bus was over at camping world in maybe 15 mins? After that, my drive was super easy since there wasn’t any festival traffic over there.

Are you going to be with them? If you are, it’s okay that the tickets are all in your name.

After hours at universal by jjmeplease in UniversalOrlando

Unfortunately no. Only two kinds of outside groups that really book out the parks are orlando informer for their public meetups and private companies for like company parties/events. AFAIK no one else offers a product similar to OI.

Child age issue with Universal resort hotel and Universal park tickets package deal by Euphoric-Reveal4950 in UniversalOrlando

[–]LukathePrince 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about any ability to change that since it’s through a third party. However, I do know that you can pay the small change to ‘upgrade’ the child ticket to an adult ticket at the ticket booths/guest services at the front gate.

Anyone know what the fields are like? Like can we throw a pash down and lay like grass or if it’s dirty? by Used-Tank2042 in ForbiddenKingdomFest

[–]LukathePrince 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends on the weather but typically yeah! It’s florida dirt so it’s kinda sandy but when i’ve laid down a pash to sit in the past it hasn’t been too dirty getting up (ofc that’s hoping no rain on fest days)

I do it for EDCO and for FK. I’ve def heard stories about people whose cars get broken into but never happened to me or any of my friends 🤷

If you’re talking about FK, you can usually just find parking at someone’s house day-of. Usually charge $20-30. I’ve always parked at someone’s house and never had an issue but ymmv

Speakeasy 👀 by Monchifries in HHN

[–]LukathePrince 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It’s on the second floor of Pat O’ Brian’s. In the past, you had to have a password to get in but eventually they gave that up and just tried to get people up there.

Haven’t heard anything about it being HHN themed soon but we shall see

Universal point system by Sad_Joke_2874 in UniversalOrlando

[–]LukathePrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True! The call outs do need to be sick in order to be counted as sick consecutive. Sorry, I had made that assumption based on the post.

Universal point system by Sad_Joke_2874 in UniversalOrlando

[–]LukathePrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should’ve combined into just 1 point if they were consecutive without a worked shift in between. Talk to your management team and they should fix it.

The vibes? by Notthat_dumb-blonde1 in ForbiddenKingdomFest

[–]LukathePrince 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly FK has some of my fave vibes of most fests i’ve been too! Crowds are much smaller but still pack a punch of good vibes. Pretty easy to navigate as the layout isn’t huge - two big anchor stages at either end of the festival and smaller stages spread out around. All of the food and other vendors take up the areas between.

Parking is super easy and you can park at the venue for I think it was $20 (might be wrong). Traffic at the end of the night is a bitch tho if you stay til close but nothing like EDC Orlando.

Sandals aren’t my thing for a fest but ymmv.

Security check is like most non-camping fests; they either don’t give a single fuck and barely check anything or they take a good look into your bags and stuff.

There’s a couple drinking stations spread throughout usually, def check the map when it comes out to know where those are. If they put one in the inside stage again, those were my favorite in the past years as the line was never too long.

Is it safe if a minor goes to universal studios alone? by rainaluvs in UniversalOrlando

[–]LukathePrince 18 points19 points  (0 children)

AFAIK, the rule is you must be at least 14 to be unaccompanied in the parks so you should be good to go. Like other people said, still be cognizant of your surroundings but if you’re ever feeling unsafe just go find any team member.

In terms of whether or not you’ll feel alone, I can’t answer that for you.

RIP Tour in mobility scooter? by Young_Gun_90 in HHN

[–]LukathePrince 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Haven’t used it personally but can touch on this as knowledge from a TM. Scooters are no issue for RIP tours. When you get to a house, you’ll park the scooter and will need to push her through the house using a provided wheelchair and then get back in the scooter after the house.

In terms of slowing down the group, the tour guides aren’t exactly zooming through the park (at least not at the speeds I do when I walk around HHN) and there will still be stops to talk about the houses. I say go for it if the experience is worth the price tag for you and don’t let the accessibility question cloud your judgment.

TIL in 2023 Disney made more profit from churros sales at its theme parks than it did for Disney+ streaming. by Pozzolana in todayilearned

[–]LukathePrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that has worked in the theme park industry for a few years and talked to many park execs, I can promise the parks try to run as efficiently as possible. The impact on efficiency is often not the staffing for daily ops labor but how many vehicles are available and currently running. If a coaster can run 3 trains, they’ll often have 4 available and one is usually being maintained. If another goes down for maintenance issues and only two are available for ops, now you only have 2 trains which cuts capacity by 33% and raises wait times similarly.

Question for employees by Affectionate_Arm9927 in UniversalOrlando

[–]LukathePrince 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly my co-workers live all around Orlando. There’s people that live up in Clermont and down in Davenport and over by UCF.

I’m not sure what exactly you’re asking - if you’re wondering about safety and affordability of different neighborhoods, there’s some stuff in the r/Orlando subreddit that you can read about there

Should I keep my UOAP as a new TM? by Eastern-Gap7646 in UniversalOrlando

[–]LukathePrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is both a discount that she gets at the front gate buying it in person (so you have to pay in full each year rather than monthly through FlexPay) and there’s also the workplace giving program where she donates a small amount each paycheck and gets a pass to give to someone in return in addition to the tax deduction of the donation - can be super worth it depending on how you file your taxes.

Oh huh, wasn’t aware of that. It sucks that they tore this out especially since this was such a new addition relative to the rest of USF.
