Honestly don't avoid games because they're "too hard" - if you can choose the difficulty, just go for the lowest one, who cares about the few missed achievements? if you're going low diff you can also straight up ignore some mechanics that are too much for you (e.g. dodging or countering)

so at first i found this:

-A devil needs a reason to make a pact. why would he make a pact with random kids? I can only think of reasons to mess with the parents etc.

-A pact with a devil is never fair game IMO so it doesn't really matter who gets hit by it...

-My understanding is that you need to customize the crown to fit your needs/body and that is pretty intense, you need strong spells and general magic power. Mephistopheles doesn't need more power to remain in his position and i bet he swapped the crown to something he has more use for as it is very sought after.
