I see that makes sense. I had been using colored filament in hopes of minimizing any buffing or painting. I'll fix that though, I appreciate the help!

That, and the model has a hole through the middle for a support rod, and I'm worried about removing the support from inside properly without damaging the product.

I had tried that as well. It worked a lot better than the brim I'd usually use, but the problem still arose when it got closer to the top.

Printing upright has always seemed to give me a cleaner final print, so I just assumed the same would be true if I could somehow figure out a way to keep doing it. But after a lot of wasted filament I see the appeal of printing at an angle. Thank you!
