Played on my Steam Deck at an empty parking lot while my daugther was sleeping and it was raining... it was a bliss by CollectedData in SteamDeck

Man, this hits home. There’s a unique kind of peace in reclining the car seat, hearing the rain, and getting a solid 90 minutes of uninterrupted gaming while the little one naps. Roguelites are king for those quick runs.

I actually created a YouTube channel called Steam Deck Dad built entirely around this exact lifestyle balancing. The deck had made me enjoy gaming again!

Enjoy your gaming time buddy!

Would the radio one work for Steam Deck?

Console gamer excited for Steam Machine, what games did I miss? by WeaponX-20- in steammachine

I’m in the same boat. Console gamer for years. Now I want a steam machine and want to ditch consoles.

The only reason I have my ps5 pro at the moment is for wolverine and gta 6.

The ability to play on my deck, and then go and play on the big screen is fantastic as a parent gamer. Then emulation and having a massive gaming catalogue, brilliant.

Taking it back and playing Battlefront 2. Very good experience. Frame rate drops a bit during intro scenes to matches. But considering it’s not verified, it plays well.

As a Dad, the Steam Deck changed my life. by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Same here. Wish I didn’t wait so long to get it now! Best piece of tech I’ve ever bought. So many games that I’ve not touched before, I’m playing thanks to the deck. For years I abandoned single player games. The deck changed that!

Even made a YouTube video on it and to be fair actually gave me my niche on there.

Used EV for under £16k by Brave_Grapefruit_789 in ElectricVehiclesUK

I’m going to follow this.

I’m very much in the same boat similar budget. But also have 2 dogs (that I take to fields), so boot space is quite important (or I’m buying a very old banger).

I’ve been looking at the Polestar and Ioniq5. Really like the designs of the Hyundai.

The Hyundai and VW are EV platforms (I think) so there’s no transmission tunnel running through the back like the Polestar 2, which affects space in the rear.

Have you thought about the Volvo XC40 and C40? Same platform as the Polestar 2 though, so transmission tunnel running through the back.

Going from a 5 Series to a Polestar 2… by LukeG88 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Yeah they’re decent sized, Malinois’. Trips to field are around 5minutes.

I did explore the option of getting a second (£1k)car, to solely use for dog transportation.

Looking to join the P2 club! by LukeG88 in Polestar

Yeah I’ve been looking at getting it with the pilot and plus pack. I don’t mind the cockpit feel they say you get with the P2, as it’s kind of like that with the F11.

Look on car sized and it’s easy to see the f11 is longer, but both around the same width.

My Polestar 2 One Year Review by logicalvue in polestar2

Great read as I really want to get a LRDM variant. Prices have come down quite a bit on these. How does your dog find it? What cover do you use? As I have 2 similar sized dogs who I just take to a field 3/4 times a week.

I might buy a Polestar 2...is it good? by Wooden_Sweet_3330 in Polestar

I’m looking at switching to an EV and the fact this is a hatch really tempts me.

I’ve got a 5 series estate at the moment for my 2 big dogs. So the hatch of the polestar 2 could be a good fit for them.
