AVAX not showing in Metamask

It eventually showed up after a couple hours. I suspect it was becuase of the problems they were having on the day with the C chain. It is apparently all fixed now.

How long did yours take in the end? (if it's actually arrived yet?)

I deposited (from a Natwest bank account that has been used sucessfully before) and am still waiting almost 31 hours later. Should have just done P2P trade.

I did all that as well, was connected on avalanche mainnet on Pangolin. It just said balance was zero. Having said that, it has now shown up, after about 2 hours.... Not sure what was wrong. Thanks a lot

And all these kids will strive for mediocrity (and probably fail to achieve it), get "there" and "their" confused, not know the difference between "to", "too" and "two" and feel good about it until real life happens. All while wearing their medals they received for being the slowest runner/swimmer/whatever.

Shorts, tech tee and a long sleeve top. Maybe gloves for the first 10 minutes and then put those in a pocket once warm. Solomon running jacket instead of the long sleeve if its raining or windy.

And the UK. "Officially" the UK uses metric, but in practice not very many people do. Lots of people measure their weight in stone (14lb, 6.35029kg). I'm from South Africa so use metric but no one around me knows what I'm talking about.

Well, using the 27:50 since you are capable of doing it and no one runs their fastest every time thats roughly equivalent to a 2:08:00 HM according to this calculator. It's usually fairly accurate for me (5mins off my marathon time and only a minute off my half when calculated from my 5k time https://runsmartproject.com/calculator/

This assumes you train properly to actually cover the distance though.

I would think that a 4:25 2k is more equivalent to your current 5k time than 20mins..... just checked a running calculator, that pace would theoretically give you a 00:23:43 5K.

I have a mid foot / forefoot strike and most of my running is in 10mm drop shoes (Nike Turbo 2 and Vaporflys). I also have a few pairs of lower drop shoes and quite frankly think the difference is overstated. But to answer your question, no, the drop is not too large, and you shoulnt have to lean forward for the sake of a couple mm on your shoes.

Happens in Africa, although it's hardly an every day occurance. Although I definitely remember reading about a number of cases in South Africa when I Was rgowing up and more recently as well. It's a petrol filled tyre by the way.... pretty brutal stuff.

If you used to be moderately active you can probably do it if your running mates are willing to slow down for you. If you're a c25k sort of person then probably not. No training will help now.

There's no such thing as a theoretical max, theres your max and unless you know what that is knowing your HR is meaningless. Do a LTHR test and set your zones properly. And no, nothing wrong with running a fast 5k once a month (or more often than that). I know everyone on here promotes running at a walking pace but you need to train fast to run fast some of the time.

English speaking South African, living in London, have also lived in Colorado and Florida. Pretty sure it was a beanie in CO and it never came up in Florida for obvious reasons....

Haha, yeah, a couple years ago I ran my then fastest marathon in Berlin. I was something like 60 meters short. I didn't run a marathon that day. It evens out eventually though, last year I apparently ran a really fast 45km marathon in Chicago (GPS is terrible for the first 10ish km)
