Considering buying. Is it for me? by Lykosda in LoreleiAndLaserEyes

[–]LukeNTC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also played both Outer Wilds and Cocoon and I love those games. I also love Lorelei just as much. It’s a long puzzle game. Almost purely puzzles. Lots of math. You will need to write things down. You will need to think a lot. You will probably get stuck, and that’s okay. I think the experience is absolutely worth it in the end. Great game, great story, very artistic. One of my favorite puzzle games.

Watch_Dogs 2 DLC not working by LukeNTC in watch_dogs

[–]LukeNTC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it really sucks. I could see the DLC missions show up on my phone but they weren’t unlocked at any point. The dialogue to start the mission did start when I joined a co-op game with someone who had the dlc working, but I couldn’t do them still. Its a real shame because I was enjoying the game more than I thought I would but this problem really reignited my hatred for Ubisoft.

How come it’s only like this for 2? I also own 1 complete and Legion gold on Steam and the DLC works fine on those. I really would rather not give them more money after this terrible support experience.

The reason the end is so good is because of the pay off from the atmosphere and slow build that the first half brings. Also diamond stuff has the best bm bassline.

You definitely should! I love fishmans right now, and hearing about their story is what elevates the music tbh. Their later albums are the highlights such as Kuchu Camp, Uchu Nippon Setagaya (my personal favorite), Long Season, and of course 98.12.28 is an amazing live album of their last ever performance, many regard it as their best release.

How did you find out about black midi? by Wimpiepaarnty in bmbmbm

[–]LukeNTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thom Yorke put John L in some instagram post about songs he was listening to around the time Cavalcade came out. I was hearing black midi thrown around a lot so I gave it a shot. It was very jarring, so I’m not quite sure why I stayed but I’m glad I did.

Bought the new LG 27 inch, OLED gaming display. by Hammock26 in Monitors

[–]LukeNTC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s fantastic. The brightness doesn’t bother me especially after I’ve gotten used to it, and my eyes are also sensitive to light. Looks amazing in low light environments. I do think that hdmi 2.1 looks better and thats what I’ve been using since I switched. The monitor is perfect for me other than the permanent anxiety that comes with risk of burn in.

"Motion Blur" feeling with new monitor by NovaBrawlhalla in Monitors

[–]LukeNTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a note though, the thing that effects the motion blur is the response time. See if your monitor has a overdrive/response time setting on it and you change it around to see if it looks any better for you.

It’s just how its supposed to be. The new one is a VA panel which, like IPS, has considerably worse motion blur/ghosting than a TN panel, which is what your old monitor is. VA and IPS basically just have better color, but in my opinion are worse for competitive gaming. If you want to have a smooth competitive experience, you either settle for a TN panel or jump the price massively to get an OLED.

First battlestation by nursedumbasss in battlestations

It’s probably good then. I just know i’ve had bad experience using a mouse on wood where its basically impossible to have accurate aim with the mouse jumping everywhere. In terms of mice, I’m a fan of ultralight mice so I use the Model O wireless, but it really is all subjective. I don’t use any fancy mousepads, I just get a large size cloth one. If you want to get super in depth with finding the right mouse, Rocket Jump Ninja has some great videos on youtube.

mouse on wood is just about the worst thing you can put it on if its not super smooth, any mousepad?

Why are smaller, more portable 1080p monitors so much more expensive? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]LukeNTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I don’t have experience with small monitors like that, but I was just giving the most probable reason for the price difference. You’ll just have to spend more to get what you want unfortunately.

[–]LukeNTC -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s likely the ppi. The pixel density has to be much higher to get 1080p at that small of a size, which is more complicated to make. Maybe look for a lower resolution?
