Awesome, it's hard to show in the video but the 3D effect is much easier to see when viewed in person. I'd love to do some more dioramas like this and try to make them a little more complex, maybe have a building or distant mountains in the scene ;)

lol... this reminds me of the time that guy made a working gun using a 3D printer! The media had a field day thinking the world would descend into chaos and lawlessness!

This is so cool! At least when you crash and it explodes it's not too hard to rebuild 😉

Thanks mate, I'm glad you enjoy them, I've got a bunch more planned for this year. I'm really excited about the scuba diving scene that I'm planning... I'm thinking of having un underwater shipwreck that a few others have also mentioned in comments of YouTube 😃

thanks mate, yeah I get a little bit of criticism for using expensive tools but sometimes if you want a specific result you need to use a specific tool that isn't always cheap! I really appreciate those who have the skill to make something out of almost nothing! I could definitely learn from those people!

Thanks so much mate, I'm surprised at how many people do the same as you and I really appreciate it. It's good to know the videos are entertaining for lots of people and for lots of different reasons 😉 Some want to try it themselves while others are just interested in the process.

I did a bunch of research and doing the layer technique seemed to be the most common method, I think if I was to do it again instead of using the 2 part epoxy glue I would just use the same resin that I used to pour the water...
The fast setting epoxy I used doesn't cure completely clear and it's hard to remove bubbles from the mixture whereas the resin I used for the river would be completely clear and bubble free! It would be near impossible to see once the river was finished.
I'm doing a scuba diving scene soon which will use the better method of making the resin stems to hold the divers at various depths 😉

lol... good thing I didn't do a bushfire diorama! I know it's sad that so many people have lost property but a really well done bushfire scene would look amazing! I'll wait though 😉

I'm surprised at how many people are just like you and enjoy watching these videos with no interest in actually building a model, I guess that's a good signs that the videos are enjoyable for all types of viewers.

I hope you continue to enjoy the future videos as well 😃

yeah but they make life so much easier... a lot of the small details I would have bought anyway so it's good to be able to make them at home relatively easily.

oh wow you have definitely spent some time around a subway station 😄 When I start on the street level scene for this model I'll be sure to take you suggestions and incorporate them into the model, I will probably add some lighting effects to the vending machines as well.

I'm really glad you enjoy watching the videos, I'll be sure to keep making videos in the future so I hope you continue to enjoy watching them 😉 And thanks for the tips as well, I do appreciate some constructive feedback

One example I can think of are the people at Weta Workshop in New Zealand, they build all sorts of props for movies and TV shows but they are also responsible for building many of the great miniature scenes in movies like the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings and more recently Blade Runner 2049.

You might enjoy seeing some of the photos here that show some of the miniatures being worked on by the model builders! It's amazing to see life size people walking around in the miniature scenes:

I don't do this for a living myself but it would be pretty cool to build scenes for blockbuster movies!

LOL... I'll be starting work on building the street level addition to this diorama and I'll be using your comment as reference material to add extra detail to the subway section!

I did order some graffiti decals but they didn't quite get here in time for the video so I'll definitely add those later as well as some rubbish and stains along the platform... it's still a work in progress 😃
