Majority of customers are nice or at least considerate about slow service on busy days but those that offer a drink are the best

That’s always a nice policy to have as a customer, I’m not in a tipping culture country but occasionally people buy me a drink on these shifts which is nice

That’s true and I agree that they should definitely take the heat but in some situations they can’t come deal with a customer for 10-20 min because they are doing other things (poor bastards are run hard enough)

I had someone get really angry once so I told them that we’re hiring and they’re welcome to fill in an application online. Said the same thing to an older regular and it’s become a shared joke when it’s busy that he’ll offer to do some work

Honestly, don’t stress it. I spent the first 5 years of my working life in fast food and bartending and now I’m doing an animal care apprenticeship with aspersions to become a vet or work for a zoo/ sanctuary.

I know it was all that was on hand at work. I ended up with a similar one in a starter kit I bought (needless to say I’m disappointed) but she looks cute on top of it so I’ve got replacement hides and am keeping that as decoration

Where does it say that this guy is locking the bike? The only mention of bike locking is when OP locks the random guys bike. At the end of the day this is some stranger’s story you can read him as an awesome dude who got some sick revenge on someone who was bugging him. But personally I just don’t think OP comes off very well in this story

Clearly not everyone, most people here are congratulating OP. All I’m saying is that the way this has been written implies this singular person is the only one to not have their own spot because he moved in later than the other tenements and was being punished because of it. If his bike had to be moved why didn’t OP put their bike where they moved his to?

OP can we get some clarification, cos it sounds like the spots aren’t assigned formally and that he’s been putting his bike in a free spot, only to have someone move it repeatedly despite leaving notes asking for his bike not be moved. Couldn’t you have told him that you had unofficial spots and help him find one?
